Stacking the Shelves [13]

Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews, is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

Lots of book love this week! :D

Bought:
Shadow and Bone (The Grisha #1) by Leigh Bardugo
Vampire Academy (Vampire Academy #1) by Richelle Mead
Frostbite (Vampire Academy #2) by Richelle Mead
The Summoning (Darkest Powers Trilogy #1) by Kelley Armstrong
Once Burned (Night Prince #1) by Jeaniene Frost

I’ve read Shadow and Bone already and found it really, really, really predictable. However, I decided to buy the book (because of its awesome unique cover) and give it another chance.

I brought Vampire Academy and Frostbite because I never read the Vampire Academy series and since it’s so popular, I want to try it out and find out what all the hype is about.

As for Once Burned, it is a birthday gift from my little sister – only a month and a couple of days too late. Still, I love Vlad.

Borrowed:
Black City (Black City #1) by Elizabeth Richards
Ten by Gretchen McNeil

I just had to try Black City because of its gorgeous cover (although I heard some not so-great things about the book) and for Ten, a book about murder? I’m so sold.

What books did you guys get this cold week? Link me!

I thought Ten was fun. I didn’t think it was super scary, and I did guess who the “bad guy” was, but I really enjoyed reading it. I hope you do too :)

I keep hearing how good Vampire Academy is, but I haven’t read any. I should look into them. I hear the series actually gets better the more books you read.

I do want to read Shadow and Bone (I like the cover, too), but just haven’t gotten there yet. Sorry you found it predictable.

    Happy reading :)

I can’t wait to read Black City! I read the first Vampire Academy book a while back and I thought it was okay. I heard that the series keeps getting better though. :)

Your new books are AWESOME! I loved Shadow and Bone, Black City, and Ten, all so much! I’m sorry you weren’t crazy about Shadow and Bone though. :( That’s a bummer. But I agree that the cover is insanely gorgeous!
