Each week, The Broke and Bookish host a Top Ten Tuesday based on a certain bookish topic. Other bloggers are able to participate and post their own top ten list based on the topic.
This week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic is Top Ten 2013 Debuts I’m Looking Forward To.
Okay, this list was kind of hard to put together since lots of books on my to-read list are sequels, not books written by debut authors, but I managed!
So here’s my list in no particular order:
1. Pivot Point by Kasie West
I’ve heard so many good things about this one and the concept of the entire book is just so unique!
2. The Madman’s Daughter by Megan Shepherd
If there’s murder & madness, I’m there.
3. Taken by Erin Bowman
There’s so much hype surronding Taken. The plot sounds very similar to Gone, which I’m not exactly a fan of. Hopefully Taken will be a lot better.
4. Level 2 by Lenore Appelhans
The title alone makes me want to read the book.
5. Mila 2.0 by Debra Driza
I’m obsessed with reading books about androids now ever since I’ve read Marissa Meyer’s Cinder. Mila 2.0 is a thick book too!
6. The Collector by Victoria Scott
There’s a lot of hype surrounding this book, especially Dante Walker, the main character in the book. Hopefully this book is worth all the hype I’m seeing.
7. Ink by Amanda Sun
Japanese drawings that come out to life? Sold. Where can I buy this book?
8. Let the Sky Fall by Shannon Messenger
I’m not sure if Let the Sky Fall is really a debut novel (since the author wrote some other books beforehand), but a goodreads list says it is so -shrugs-. The cover alone makes me want to read the book.
9. The Ward by Jordana Frankel
The cover alone has got me sold.
10. Pantomime by Laura Lam
A book focused on the circus? I need this! Will it talk about the animal abuse and cruelty going on inside?
So, yeah, there’s my list. What’s on your list?
