Top Ten Most Frustrating Characters Ever

toptentuesday

Each week, The Broke and Bookish host a Top Ten Tuesday based on a certain bookish topic. Other bloggers are able to participate and post their own top ten list based on the topic.

This week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic is Top Ten Most Frustrating Characters Ever in books.

Hopefully this will be a very easy topic to write about.

1. Charlotte from League of Strays by L.B. Schulman
Ugh. Charlotte. What makes her so frustrating? Well, she likes a guy just because he is hot. Guess what happens when the guy gets arrested? Yes, that’s right, she’s thinking oh, he’s not that hot anymore.

2. Helen from Dreamless by Josephine Angelini
Helen needs to be rescued all the time although she is “powerful.” Um okay. Right. Oh, and Helen can’t do basic math.

3. Molly from Undeadly by Michele Vail
The way she thinks is just…

4. Calaena from Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
She’s a killer assassin in a competition. The top-runners start dying. Guess what Calaena does? She complains on why she doesn’t get any credit for her great talents like the top-runners wasn’t getting killed off one by one.

5. Katy from Onyx by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Katy, Katy, Katy. She was okay in Obsidian, but in Onyx, she caused so many problems that could have been solved so easily if she just admitted her feelings for Daemon.

6. Charlie from The Perks of Being A Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
He watched someone get raped and does nothing about it. Enough said.

7. Ever from Evermore by Alyson Noel
She drinks because she can see people’s auras and read their thoughts. Really? I’ll love to have your ability!

8. Kevin from Revolution 19 by Gregg Rosenblum
Too many bad qualities to name from stealing something from someone who just saved his life to blaming someone else for something they had no control over. Ugh.

9. Ash from Black City by Elizabeth Richards
Basically a cheater. I don’t do well with cheaters.

10. Kylie from the Shadow Falls series by C.C. Hunter
Kylie takes way too long to decide on which guy she likes. (Does it really take five books to decide?) She also blames her ex-boyfriend for having sex with somebody else when they broke up. Kylie is also immature and a judging brat. I wonder why I read this series…

And if you read through all that, great! Now I want to know, which book characters frustrate you to no end?

Ha! I totally agree in regards with Helen. Celaena wasn’t much of a kickbutt as I hoped but I enjoyed her voice in my head (wait… that sounds creepy =))) ) Katy is definitely frustrating in my book especially with her decisions in Onyx though I actually enjoyed that book to its predecessor.

    Great list, Kelly :D

Ugh. Ever Bloom made my list too. I agree that Celaena was not so awesome either, but she didn’t annoy me enough to make my list. http://wp.me/pzUn5-1on

Yeah, Katy was a bit frustrating in Onyx. But, to be fair, Daemon was frustrating in Obsidian.

Molly makes me want to scream. Actually… I may have screamed reading Undeadly. Grrr… she is such an annoying character! Great list :)
