Stacking the Shelves [18]

Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews, is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

This was a busy, busy, week. Psst, there’s a giveaway you’ll want to check out!

Bought:
For Darkness Shows the Stars (For Darkness Shows the Stars #1) by Diana Peterfreund
Hex Hall (Hex Hall #1) by Rachel Hawkins
Demonglass (Hex Hall #2) by Rachel Hawkins

Tempt Me At Twilight (The Hathaways #3) by Lisa Kleypas
Everbound (Everneath #2) by Brodi Ashton
Boundless (Unearthly #3) by Cynthia Hand

I bought For Darkness Shows the Stars, Hex Hall, and Demonglass all at Strandbooks for 50% off. I just love the Hex Hall series and the cover of For Darkness Shows the Stars is just gorgeous. I also read and loved Lisa Kleypa’s Tempt Me At Twilight. I seriously need a Harry in real life.

I went to a signing yesterday (Saturday) where Brodi Ashton, Cynthia Hand, Teri Terry, Jodi Meadows, and Jocelyn Davies were attending. I bought a signed copy of Boundless for myself and an extra signed copy of Boundless and Everneath for a giveaway to show my appreciation for you guys! :D

I also told Brodi Ashton that I was planning on hosting a giveaway, and she decided to give me an extra guitar pick necklace for you guys.

Borrowed:
Teeth by Hannah Moskowitz
The Demon Trapper’s Daughter (The Demon Trappers #1) by Jana Oliver
Prophecy (The Dragon King Chronicles #1) by Ellen Oh
Renegade (The Elysium Chronicles #1) by J.A. Souders
Altered (Altered #1) by Jennifer Rush
Moonlight Masquerade (Edilean #8) by Jude Deveraux
Uses for Boys by Erica Lorraine Scheidt
Just One Day (Just One Day #1) by Gayle Forman
Vortex (Tempest #2) by Julie Cross

I borrowed a lot of books this week since I’m back to college and the oh-so-tempting Queens Borough Public Library is so near. Hence, I got so books. I’m personally looking forward to reading Moonlight Masquerade, a book I’ve been waiting for ever since October. That cover is just gorgeous.

Traded:
Embrace (The Violet Eden Chronicles #1) by Jessica Shirvington
Entice (The Violet Eden Chronicles #2) by Jessica Shirvington
If I Stay (If I Stay #1) by Gayle Forman
Tiger Lily by Jodi Lynn Anderson

I had a lot of trades this week! I trade my copy of Obsidian for a copy of If I Stay, an ARC of What’s Left Of me for an ARC of Tiger Lily, an ARC of Embrace for Opal, and an ARC of Smart Girls Get What They Want for an ARC of Entice.

What books did you guys get this week? Link me!

Oh god what a huge and amazing haul!!! Awesome that you could attend that signing :D You got so many great books!
I just finished Embrace on Friday and I really liked it! Hex Hall and Demonglass are good too, I should get the third book sometime next week ^^
Then there’s Renegade and Altered and Uses For Boys and Just One Day… if I were you I’d be in a bad bind about what to read first ;) I hope you enjoy all of them!

Ugh, I’m SO JEALOUS you got to meet Cynthia Hand and Brodi Ashton. Mostly Brodi Ashton. Sometimes, I really hate not living in the states anymore. Oh well.

Always living in the states is boring though! I would love to move around, but then, I won’t get to meet the authors. ):

Haha, yeah, now that I’m getting more into this reading and book blogging thing I’m less enthusiastic about living here. I’m just going to hope that more American authors get to do international tours like John Green and Tahereh Mafi. *crosses fingers*

I was at that signing with Brodi Ashton, Jodi Meadows yesterday, but I posted my STS post yesterday before I went…so the books I got at the signing will be included in next weeks STS. Great haul. Boundless is so pretty.

Free Four was unfortunately short. It kind of sucked how short it was. And I really loved Legend, so I know I’m going to love reading Prodigy… if I ever find the time. Too many books, too little time. It’s the story of my life.

I loooooove the Hex Hall trilogy! Demonglass is one of my favourite books. It’s fantastic. I’m dying to read Tiger Lily!

I’m so jealous that you got to go to the signing! They’re having one about three hours from me in a couple of days, but Marissa Meyer is having a signing about three hours in the other direction a couple of days later, so I had to pick. An abundance for once and I can’t go to both. :( Oh well!

Isn’t For Darkness Shows the Stars pretty?? It’s pretty good too! :) Amazing haul!

I know what you mean! There are other signings too, but it’s either cut school and watch my grades fall or go to signings.

Wow this is a pretty amazing haul! For starters- If I stay is one of my favorite books so I hope you like it as much as I did! I can’t wait to read Boundless and Everbound (the latter of which is sitting on my shelf waiting for me). Hex Hall is a fun read too – Rachel Hawkins has a sense of humor and I love books that make me laugh!! Altered was good, but Prophecy felt a little rushed! I haven’t read the others but I hope you enjoy them all!! Happy reading and thanks for stopping by my StS!!
