Top Ten Books I Can’t Believe I’ve Never Read

toptentuesday

Each week, The Broke and Bookish host a Top Ten Tuesday based on a certain bookish topic. Other bloggers are able to participate and post their own top ten list based on the topic.

This week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic is Top Ten Tuesday REWIND where I can pick any topic I missed or want to revisit. I decided to pick Top Ten Books I Can’t Believe I’ve Never Read because I missed doing this topic.

So here’s my list in no particular order:

pride immortal fire

1. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
I’ve watched the movie, but I’ve never read the actual book. ):

2. Immortal Beloved by Cate Tiernan
I’ve heard a lot of good things about this series, but I haven’t started it yet. Hopefully I can get to this series this year.

3. The Girl of Fire and Thorns by Rachel Carson
I’ve heard so many mixed things about this series. I think I should give it a try.

grave falling poison

4. Grave Mercy by Robin LaFevers
Usually, young adult historic fiction books are not really my thing, but I bought Grave Mercy awhile ago, so I might as well read this.

5. Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes
I’ve heard from so many people that Falling Kingdoms is a fantastic fantasy book. I can’t wait to read it myself.

6. Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder
There is so much hype surrounding this book. I hopefully will be able to get to this book this month.

darkfever storm angel

7. Darkfever by Karen Marie Moning
I’ve heard so many amazing things about Karen Marie Moning’s books. I can’t wait to see why her books are so awesome for myself.

8. Storm by Brigid Kemmerer
I’ve also heard a lot of good things about Storm, mainly the hot guys. Hopefully I can find some time to squeeze this book into my schedule.

9. Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare
With Clockwork Princess available last month, I think it’s about time I try to read this series.

vamp10. Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead
Richelle Mead and her books are famous, especially the Vampire Academy series. It’s time I finally read this series and see why everyone loves it, especially with the movie coming out.

And now, I want to know, what are your top ten books you can’t believe that you’ve never read before?

I haven’t read Pride and Prejudice either and have gotten so many nasty looks for it. Maybe this year I will tack it on to my Classics Resolution.

Thank goodness I have gotten no nasty looks for it! (The only reason why though is because none of my real life friends likes reading in any shape or form.)
Hopefully this year we will both finally read it! :D

Great list! I haven’t read Clockwork Prince yet and I really want to read this whole series. The Vampire Academy is a very good book and you really shouldn’t miss it.
    Thanks for sharing (:

One of my book friends is STRONGLY urging me to read Clockwork Angel. -feeling the pressure-
I REALLY want to read the Vampire Academy series, but I just don’t have the time. (Bad excuse, I know, but it’s true! My TBR pile is at least 50 books long.)
Thanks for stopping by Sapir! :D

      Yeah, I haven’t read it. D:
I promised myself that I would read the book, then watch the movie, but I broke my own promise. -slaps self-
The worse thing is that I actually bought the book. When I buy books, I never actually get to reading them because I have to read my library books first, so my bought books automatically gets put on the bottom of my TBR list. ):

I’ve only actually read one book off this list, which was Clockwork Angel. I adored that book, it’s great. I am planning on reading Falling Kingdoms and Poison Study very soon, and reading Pride and Prejudice is one of my reading goals for 2013, so I’ll get to it at some point this year, haha! Great list!

Girl of Fire & Thorns & Falling Kingdoms are on the wishlist too though >.<

Oh and I actually have read the Fever series and I highly recommend it!! The first few books didn't completely blow me away but the series only gets more awesome from there :D I hope you get to read ALL of these soon!! Thanks for sharing ♥

I’m reading Darkfever right now, and it’s so good! Hopefully the rest of the book will remain the same. ;D

I haven’t read The Girl of Fire and Thorns either, although I have been meaning to for AGES. I read Falling Kingdoms, and seriously didn’t enjoy it. I think I only gave it one star because oh my god, it frustrated me. Storm, however, is BRILLIANT. The Merricks are the best. AND YOU HAVEN’T READ VA?!??!?! Get on that!

You didn’t like Falling Kingdoms? -looks at the book suspiciously- In all honestly, the only reason I want to read that is because the cover of the sequel looks amazing LOL.
I really need to read Storm soon, everyone is gushing about it.
I wanted to read the VA series, but…(okay, I don’t have an excuse.) D:
Anyways, thanks for stopping by Amber! (:

I have also never read the Vampire Academy series either. I tried reading the first one and stopped for no plain reason. Is it sad that about half of those books you haven’t read are some of my favorite?
You also aren’t really missing out on Storm. I read it thinking it was going to be great and in the end it wasn’t really.

HA! I have yet to read a single Austen novel. I’ve been thinking about picking up a book someday, but…eh. Millions of fans can’t be wrong, right?

Okay, drop whatever you’re reading and grab a copy of Storm. Trust me. It’s that good. I wasn’t even planning on reading it, but randomly decided to borrow a copy from work one day and FELL. IN. LOVE.

Speaking of Jane Austen, I really need to read Persuasion, because several of my friends have told me it’s better than Pride and Prejudice. I also really need to read Falling Kingdoms, because it sounds like something that would be up my alley. And, finally, I need to finish reading the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan, because I started it and I might as well finish it.

    You have to read (and in this order according to what I have read.);
    Clockwork Angel
    Storm
    Grave Mercy
The Girl of Fire and Thorns
    Immortal Beloved
    Falling Kingdoms

Because they are good books. Like really good. I enjoyed them A LOT especially Clockwork Angel and Storm (you my dear are an elemental virgin :O )

I just think you should read them after you finish DarkFever. I hope you enjoy them all. Happy Reading.

And where did you get the term “elemental virgin”? Is it in the book or something?

No. It’s the term Brigid Kemmrer uses and some bloggers. There’s a readalong and a giveaway. Someone who hasn’t read about the Merricks, cause the series is called The Elementals.

THANKS!!!!!!!!! I hope you like it!!!!!

I can’t believe I’ve never read Clockwork Angel either! I’m almost done with the Vampire Academy series right now…only two books to go! I forced myself through Pride and Prejudice a few years ago and have no real memory of it.
Other than that, I haven’t really heard of any of these but The Girl of Fire and Thorns, which I’ve been seeing EVERYWHERE so it’s got to be good, right? : )

VAMPIRE ACADEMY YESSSSSS you should definitely read it. I didn’t read it until this year and I’m kind of obsessed. Okay, skip the ‘kind of’. I’m definitely obsessed. It’s so good. I also just started Clockwork Angel and I’m really liking it. I think I like it even better than TMI, which is just what everyone says. So yes. Read that one too. :)

I just finished reading Clockwork Angel and I have some mixed feelings about it. It is better than TMI though, but not really a lot better. I’ll be explaining why I had mixed feelings about it a lot better in my review.
