WAITING ON WEDNESDAY is a weekly event, hosted at Breaking The Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.
This week, I can’t wait for a book written by one of my favorite authors.
Dirty Little Secret
Author: Jennifer Echols
Series: None
Genre: Young Adult, Contemporary, Romance
Publisher: Little Brown Books for Young Readers
Release Date: May 21
Summary:
Bailey has tried to numb the pain and disappointment over what could have been. And as Julie’s debut album is set to hit the charts, her parents get fed up with Bailey’s antics and ship her off to granddad’s house in Nashville. Playing fiddle in washed-up tribute groups at the mall, Bailey meets Sam, a handsome and oh-so-persuasive guitarist with his own band. He knows Bailey’s fiddle playing is just the thing his band needs to break into the industry. But this life has broken Bailey’s heart once before. She isn’t sure she’s ready to let Sam take her there again…
Jennifer Echols is one of my favorite authors. I will read anything written by her, but lately, her books are getting more and more not as good. Hopefully Dirty Little Secret will make me love her books again.
What book are you looking forward to reading this week?
I’ve only read one book by this author, Going Too Far, but this new title of hers looks interesting. Great pick!

I’ve never read a book by Jennifer Echols but I’ve been meaning to for a while! I love the music aspect in this one, it reminds me a bit of If I Stay/Where She Went by Gayle Forman :)

You should definitely read one of her early books Carmen, especially Going Too Far. It was one crazy, wild ride that I couldn’t get enough of! :D
