Top Ten Book Featuring Travel In Some Way

toptentuesday

Each week, The Broke and Bookish host a Top Ten Tuesday based on a certain bookish topic. Other bloggers are able to participate and post their own top ten list based on the topic.

This week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic is a Top Ten Tuesday Featuring Travel In Some Way.

I’m cheating a bit in this one.

So here’s my list in no particular order:

anna catchingjordan everbound

1. Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
Ha ha, this is kind of cheating, but Anna did travel to Paris to go to school. And she did travel home. And she did travel back again to Paris. -wink wink-

2. Catching Jordan by Miranda Kenneally
Again, Jordan does travel when she visits different colleges in Michigan.

3. Everbound by Brodi Ashton
Hey, Nikki travels to the Everneath in Everbound, so I’m not cheating! :P

unbreakable sea dareyouto

4. Unbreakable by Elizabeth Norris
Janelle travels to another world. Or was it universe?

5. Girl At Sea by Maureen Johnson
I love reading about Clio traveling at sea with her father and two other people. I also love how she fell in love with Aidan at sea; it was absolutely adorable to read about.

6. Dare You To by Katie McGarry
Beth has to travel between places (her new life and her old life) by car. That counts right? ;D

starlight stolen revel

7. Days of Blood & Starlight by Laini Taylor
Karou and Akiva travel between worlds in Days of Blood & Starlight. And if you haven’t read Days of Blood & Starlight yet, you have to read it now.

8. Stolen by Lucy Christopher
Being kidnapped and brought to Australia against your will still counts as traveling right?

9. Revel by Maurissa Guibord
Delia travels to a Trespass Island to meet her grandma after both her parents were gone.

justoneday10. Just One Day by Gayle Forman
Allyson travels around the world in Just One Day, specifically Paris and England, to find Willem, a guy she knew for just one day.

And now, I want to know, what are your top ten book covers of books you’ve read?

Look at us both using Everbound! Great minds, Kelly! :D And this week was all kinds of hard so I think we all ‘cheated’ a bit. But I think all of your choices made sense! I never even thought of Dare You To! I did consider Anna, but held off.

      Yes, high five Jessica! :D
I thought of Dare You To because it is on my to-buy list. :P
I was wondering if Anna would work because it didn’t really mention her traveling on the airplane, but eh, I think it still counts. ;D

Hah, I had those moments when I was putting together my list when I was like, “Hey, it counts!” I kind of cheated on mine, too. If there was a form of transportation used, I counted it as traveling. There’s a bike ride somewhere in the book? Traveling! :D

Anyway, I <3 Dare You To. I haven't seen it on any lists today, but I had Pushing the Limits on mine!

And yes, it definitely counts as traveling!
And yes, lots of love to Dare You To! <3<3<3

I love how creative everyone is being with their lists today! I think your choices are totally legitimate. ;) I wonder how many people included Just One Day on their lists – it’s the first one that came to my mind!

I’m glad to hear that my choices are totally legitimate; I was worried lots of people would be like, “hey, what are you talking about?”
And so far, I saw Just One Day on three lists. xP

I can’t wait to read that Gayle Forman book! I loved Wanderlove by Kirsten Hubbard which is about a newly graduated young woman who takes a trip to South America and ditches her tour group to join some bohemian travelers.

I included Just One Day too ^^ And I was VERY tempted to include one of Laini Taylor’s books! I like how you stretched the travel definition on some accounts :P Also reminds me that I still have to read Everbound >.< Great choices, Kelly!
