Top Ten Books I’ve Read So Far In 2013

toptentuesday

Each week, The Broke and Bookish host a Top Ten Tuesday based on a certain bookish topic. Other bloggers are able to participate and post their own top ten list based on the topic.

This week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic is a Top Ten Books I’ve Read So Far In 2013.

So here’s my list in no particular order:

scarlet poison dareyouto

1. Scarlet by Marissa Meyer
Oh my goodness, if you haven’t read Scarlet yet, then what are you waiting for?! I mean, who can resist Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, the Wolf, and Sailor Moon all in one?

2. Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder
I only have to say this: The hype is well-deserved. Poison Study is fantastic.

3. Dare You To by Katie McGarry
I love everything about Dare You To: the gorgeous cover, the story, Beth, and Ryan. I can hug this book all day long.

starlight altered stolen

4. Days of Blood & Starlight by Laini Taylor
If you haven’t read any of Laini Taylor’s books yet, then what are you waiting for? Her writing is beautiful and the story in Days of Blood & Starlight is so bittersweet.

5. Altered by Jennifer Rush
To be honest, I wasn’t expecting much of Altered. Imagine my surprise when I actually read it – and loved it. I can’t wait for the sequel!

6. Stolen by Lucy Christopher
Ugh, this book completely twisted my perception of kidnappers and broke my heart. If you haven’t read Stolen, I strongly suggest you start it.

unbreakable revel ten

7. Unbreakable by Elizabeth Norris
I loved, loved, loved Unraveling. Unbreakable is just as good.

8. Revel by Maurissa Guibord
I did’t expect to love Revel this much. It’s an amazing book guys.

9. Ten by Gretchen McNeil
I have very high expectations when it comes to books with horror and mystery in it. Ten exceeded my expectations.

wallbanger10. Wallbanger by Alice Clayton
At first glance, Wallbanger appears to be a book only about sex. I mean, the title hints at that right? But I was wrong, Wallbanger is not about sex. In fact, only 10% of the book is about sex – Wallbanger has tons of chemistry and sexual tension that kept me reading. In fact, I re-read Wallbanger three times this week already. It is that good.

And now, I want to know, what are your top ten books that you’ve read so far in 2013?

Ooh, I definitely can’t wait to read Altered – going to read it for the debut-a-thon and I’ve only heard great things :) I really want to read the Unraveling series too since Amber loves it so freaking much xD Agreed on Scarlet! That book is awesome! And Days of Blood and Starlight… yeah, still need to get around to that. Nice list!

I also read Wallbanger ages ago when it was first posted online. I remember enjoying it, so I’ll definitely be getting a copy of this one and reading it very soon. Great list!

I haven’t read any of those so far, to be honest. I requested Dare to You for my birthday next month, so I hope to get that soon. I’m waiting with Scarlet until the pub. date of Cress is closer because I hate the torture of waiting for the next installment, I won Unbreakable in a giveaway, but first I have to read Unraveling, and Ten is one of these books I’ve seen everywhere and really want to read, but also kind of scared out of my mind to xD

Anyways, great list! I may not have read any of those, but you sure made me want to!

And I can understand that, but the wait to read Scarlet will KILL me. I would wonder how the story of Cinderella and Scarlet will look together.
Definitely read Unraveling asap, it’s even better than Unbreakable in my opinion. ;D
Ten is not scary at all. It’s mostly a mystery novel in my opinion.
      Thanks! :D
