Blogoversary Day 2: Cover Guessing Game

Hi guys and welcome to the my Blogoversary: Day 2! Today, we’ll be doing the Cover Guessing Game.

I did this for the Summer Lovin’ Readathon and I think the name of the challenge itself is self explanatory – You see all the pictures below? One of those pictures is equal to one book cover. That means those twelve pictures correspond to twelve different books. In the Cover Guessing Game, you’ll have to guess what picture is a piece of what book cover. Up for the challenge? I hope you are!

This time, there are bigger pictures because viewers said the past Cover Guessing Game’s pictures were too small. I hope it helps!

And before I forget, I’ll have to name the prize of course. The winner of the Cover Guessing Game can win a SIGNED copy of The Moon and More by Sarah Dessen or a SIGNED copy of Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo. You pick! ;D

And that’s not all! If this giveaway reaches 2,500 entries, two winners will be picked!

Unlike the Cover Guessing Game that took place during the Summer Lovin’ Readathon, this Cover Guessing Game will last all month so you can take your time to have fun and guess the answers for extra points for the Rafflecopter. Also, this time, entries towards the Cover Guessing Game is not required, but you can earn extra points when you do them. You’ll have to get the book correct though or your entries will be disqualified.

The Rules + Hints:

  • Only 2014 book covers are used in the puzzle.
  • All the books used in the puzzle are not yet released yet.
  • All the books used in the Cover Guessing Game are young adult books.
  • At first, I wanted to give the prize to the first person who guessed all the above book covers correctly, but I figured that it would be unfair to people in different time zones. Therefore, I will allow Rafflecopter to pick the winner. However, the entry/person Rafflecopter picks must have all the correct answers to win or all their entries will be eliminated and Rafflecopter will randomly choose another entry/person. Sorry. ): But hey, all the Cover Guessing Game entries are not required. Do it at your own risk.
  • Rafflecopter (sometimes) does not let you change your answer once you input your answer in. If you do want to change your answer for any book cover after submitting your old answer to the Rafflecopter, simply email me at whatisakelly(at)gmail(dot)com with the subject “Cover Guessing Game Answer” with your new book cover answer.
  • If the Rafflecopter does not accept your answers, just email me your answers at whatisakelly(at)gmail(dot)com with the subject “Cover Guessing Game.”

      Here are some quick hints: 1 is a pretty dress cover, 5 is a sequel to a book, and 10 is a first in a series.

    Congrats on the Blogsavery! Awesome giveaway; it was so fan guessing them, and I’m pretty sure I got them all! Took me a while, of course, but I believe I did ;) I think it’s kind of medium in difficulty level – which is great!! :D

    Oh, can you check something for me? The first three covers I answered (8&9&12) I didn’t notice you asked for author’s name. I changed my answers once I saw, but would it be possible for you to check that it really changed it? thank you!

      #4 is a contemporary that’s maybe a standalone; #5 is the second book in a series; #7 is another second book in a series; #10 is the first book in a series; and #12 is the third and final book in a series. :P

    For some unknown reason I’ve had most trouble with number 7, but finally managed to figured it out. Yaaay for me! :D All and all, it was medium hard – I actually knew most of the books ’cause I already have them on my 2014 TBR list – and super fun. :)

    It was hard, for me not getting myself updated an 2014 to be release books but I guess 2,5,9,12 already at first sight. Challenges like this is my favorite I have a great time researching but still I didn’t manage to guess 1,4, and 10. Thanks and Happy blogoversary!

      whew, I finally got them all.

      I had the worst time with #1…for some reason that picture made it look like molten lava. Or some disgusting granite thing… and somehow I thought it was a horror cover. :3

    TT.TT Can’t find the 10. And what’s making my mind go crazy is that I saw the cover, but don’t remember the name… uuuugh!!! hahaha But I’ll find it. (*determination mode on*)
    I have had a great time. Even If I didn’t want to look all the books (Though I wanted to), once I started couldn’t stop hahaha
    I hard a difficult time with the 5, too. It was like the 10, but then I got the inspiration while I was having lunch so… hahahaha
    The 11 and 12 was harder than the rest, but overall the others were easier compared to the 10 and the 5 :D
    Enjoyed a lot with this. Hope to search for more covers ^^
