I don’t know about you, but my signature is downright ugly. And lame. Let’s not forget lame. Every time I sign my name on something, whether it be a receipt or a new credit card, I wince inside. I don’t know how people come up with such awesome pretty signatures. I’m totally out of the loop with that.
One day, after getting multiple books signed, I thought what if instead of judging a book by its cover, you judge the book by the author’s signature? Will the author’s signature attract you to the book? Will you still buy the book then?
This week, I’m featuring Of Triton by Anna Banks
Will you buy Of Triton based on the author’s signature alone?
I really love the way she signs her name. The first letters of her name really stand out because it’s like she’s signing her initials instead. I always love it when authors write something personalized with their signatures like when Anna Banks wrote “The riptide is coming.”

I love the way she signs her name too! :D
If I just sign my initials instead, it’ll look all wrong.
I love when authors write a tagline too! It’s too bad that they usually don’t write taglines if you don’t ask to get your books personalized, just signed.

My first thoughts are: wow, that is a big AB. Also, how does she sign in small spaces, like the back of a credit card? It’s a cool signature, but definitely needs space.

That is a big AB, but I find it really creative because she signs her initials first, then her last name. Anna Banks is the only person I’ve seen that does that.
And you’re right, her signature definitely needs a lot of space. How does she sign it on the back of a credit card? o___o
