Top Ten Books I Would Love To See As A Movie/TV Show

toptentuesday

Each week, The Broke and Bookish host a Top Ten Tuesday based on a certain bookish topic. Other bloggers are able to participate and post their own top ten list based on the topic.

This week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic is a Top Ten Books I Would Love To See As A Movie/TV Show.

So here’s my list in no particular order:

anna daughterofsmokeandbone throneofglass

1. Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
The main reason I want Anna and the French Kiss to be on screen is because I want to see Étienne St. Clair! -wistful sigh-

2. Daughter of Smoke & Bone by Laini Taylor
I want to see how directors will make Akiva’s fire wings and how the chimaeras will look like with their goat head, bull body, and eagle feet. I have a feeling that this movie would be full with awesome.

3. Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
I want to see how the directors will portray and show Celaena’s inner thoughts and arrogrance.

cinder theimmortalrules fateful

4. Cinder by Marissa Meyer
I want to see an android. And a human with robot parts (Cinder). And the brilliant, handsome, Prince Kai. And and and a robot feet in a glass slipper. Yes, I’m weird.

5. The Immortal Rules by Julie Kagawa
The Immortal Rules will make an excellent movie. It will constantly keep you on edge and the setting will give tons of people goosebumps.

6. Fateful by Claudia Gray
Werewolves and the Titanic. I need to see this onscreen.

mad beautiful mysticcity

7. The Madman’s Daughter by Megan Shepherd
I’ll love to see the creatures on the island and the two guys chasing after Juliet – Montgomery and Edward.

8. The Beautiful and the Cursed by Page Morgan
Gargoyles! What can be better than gargoyles onscreen?!

9. Mystic City by Theo Lawrence
I want to see Theo Lawrence’s version of New York City.

annadressedinblood10. Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake
Anna Dressed in Blood reminds me of the television show Supernatural and I just love Supernatural.

And now, I want to know, what are your top ten books you would love to see as a movie or a tv show?

Out of all of these, I have only read AATFK D: All the TTT posts this week are making me feel so guilty about my mountainous TBR that I have barely made a dent in.
I think AATFK would be a seriously cute movie, and I actually want to see it (even though, as far as I am aware, it is not being made into a movie, haha).
I just bought Mystic City the other day for only $5 and I am really excited to read it! Even more so now that you would like to see a movie version.
Every single other book on your list is in my TBR – so I guess I’ll get around to reading them one day, haha. :)

Don’t worry Chiara, I bet you’ve read some books that we all didn’t read yet. ;D
I know! What are people thinking, Anna and the French Kiss will make A LOT of movie. As long as St. Clair is hot. :P
You’ll enjoy Mystic City Chiara! :D

I swear every time I post a TTT, there are only about two books on there that people have read, haha. Maybe I just read lesser known books? :P
YES! He would have to be perfect for the movie to work; definitely.
Yay! Hopefully I can get around to reading it ASAP, then :D

No, read what you like Chiara! If it’s on your TTT, that means you really liked them and if those kind of books make you happy, you should read more of them. Don’t let other people complete dictate your reading choices! :P
I just hope they don’t make St. Clair some old guy. -shivers-

There are always things that could go wrong sadly. D:
We need directors and producers that actually read and understand the book to develop the movie.

Daughter of Smoke and Bone, YES!! I want that to get picked up by Guillermo del Toro so freaking bad! He’s the only director that could pull off the chimaera perfectly. I’d love to see Throne of Glass and Mystic City picked up as well, because I think sci-fi and fantasy are even better when you can see the world. The Immortal Rules definitely, just because we need a vampire movie that has SCARY vamps instead of sparkly ones!

It’s been a few months since this was originally posted. I stumbled on it doing some research for a cover guessing game. But did you know that Daughter of Smoke and Bone has been optioned for a movie? Part of me is extremely excited about it and the other part is totally terrified!

Anna Dressed in Blood would be another good one! I’m not a horror movie person, but love those kind of books. If they made this one into a movie, I would go see it. I just finished the Throne of Glass novellas and Throne of Glass. Loved them and loved the world and it would be awesome on the screen.
