Each week, The Broke and Bookish host a Top Ten Tuesday based on a certain bookish topic. Other bloggers are able to participate and post their own top ten list based on the topic.
This week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic is a Top Ten Books On My Fall 2013 TBR List.
So here’s my list in no particular order:
1. Defiance by C.J. Redwine
I read it a long, long, long time ago before I started blogging, so basically, I forgot everything I’ve read. Time for a reread. :D
2. Deception by C.J. Redwine
The cover is just gorgeous! I also have so many copies of Deception that it’s about time I read it.
3. Twinmaker by Sean Williams
I’ve heard tons of things about this one. I hope it’s as good as it sounds!
4. Poison Princess by Kresley Cole
I’ve heard tons of great things about Kresley Cole’s books and it’s about time I try one. I think I’ll start with Poison Princess since it’s a Young Adult book. However, I’ve heard that the love interest in this one is a…jerk to put it nicely.
5. Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
This one needs no explanation. ;D
6. Thousand Words by Jennifer Brown
I’ve been meaning to read this one for forever. It’s about time I read it.
7. Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas
I’ve heard that this one was even better than Throne of Glass. I can’t wait to start it!
8. The Beginning of Everything by Robyn Schneider
EpicReads has been talking about this one for, like, two weeks. I wonder what the hype about this one is.
9. Fire with Fire by Jenny Han & Siobhan Vivian
I’ve heard that Fire with Fire is even better than Burn for Burn. That has gotten me very excited.
10. Scorched by Mari Mancusi
The cover of this one is just absolutely gorgeous. Add dragons into the mix and this one sounds absolutely perfect. Let’s hope that it is perfect.
And now, I want to know, what are your top ten books on your fall 2013 TBR list?
Ah, I absolutely love your picks! I’ve been wanting to read The Beginning of Everything and Fangirl myself, so fingers crossed to getting them. Happy reading :)
Bri recently posted…Top Ten Tuesday: IT’S a FANGIRLCEPTION!!
Great minds think alike Bri! ;D
I can’t wait to start them both either!
Kelly recently posted…ARC Book Review: The Chaos of Stars – Kiersten White
I am seeing Fangirl everywhere and reading rave reviews and I just can’t wait to read it! Poison Princess is on my list too :)
Jeann @ Happy Indulgence recently posted…Top Ten Tuesday: To Read Books for Spring 2013
Me too! Too bad I have so many books I have to read right now that I can’t start Fangirl yet. ):
Poison Princess looks good, doesn’t it?
Kelly recently posted…ARC Book Review: The Chaos of Stars – Kiersten White
I can’t wait to read Crown of Midnight too. I really enjoyed the first book in the series – and like you, I’ve heard this one is guuuhhhddd too!

I’ve heard that Crown of Midnight is even better than Throne of Glass so…-flails- :D<3
Kelly recently posted…Stacking the Shelves [51]
I am super excited to read Fangirl too. It seems like one everybody is loving. Same with The Beginning of Everything.
Also you need to read Crown of Midnight asap. It’s amazing!
Angie recently posted…Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books On My Fall 2013 TBR List
I hope we’ll both love them too Angie! (:
I really do have to read it asap! Their is a problem though – too many books and so little time. D:
Kelly recently posted…Stacking the Shelves [51]
Mh, I have to say that the cover of Defiance doesn’t really do it for me, but when I read the synopsis I thought it sounded excellent, so I might give it a try!
I thought Jennifer Brown did a really good job with Hate List, so I may want to try Thousand Words as well.
Fangirl I’m a little weary of because I loved Eleanor & Park so much and this one is so different (bad excuse, I know) and The Beginning of Everything doesn’t SOUND thaaaat awesome, but the way that Epic Reads has been going on about it makes me think I should check it out too!
Cool list :)
barefootmedstudent recently posted…25 Before 25 (and 10 during Spring)
I’m the exact opposite – I really love the cover of Defiance, but the summary doesn’t do much for me. :P
I still haven’t read a single Jennifer Brown book yet sadly. It’s time I start.
Nah, it’s not a bad excuse; I totally get what you mean. It’s like what if you don’t like Fangirl? Then it’ll ruin Eleanor & Park for you because the book is written by the same author and you’ll wonder if you really liked Eleanor & Park as much as you thought you did and…well, that’s just m thinking. :P
I know! That’s the main reason why I’m planning on reading The Beginning of Everything too – Epic Reads has been talking so much about it.

Crown of Midnight WAS better than Throne of Glass. It was such an incredible book! Scorched was really great too!
TTT @ Krista’s Dust Jacket
Ahh, with all these people saying that Crown of Midnight is WAY better than Throne of Glass, I want to read Crown of Midnight RIGHT NOW.
I’m glad to hear that Scorched is good; I’ve been seeing mixed reviews on that one.
Kelly recently posted…Stacking the Shelves [51]
I’ve read Fangirl recently and I really enjoyed it. I’m very intrigued about Fire with Fire. It’ll be interesting to see how the story progresses. Great list!
Chrissi Reads recently posted…Top Ten Books on My Autumn TBR list
I’m glad you enjoyed reading Fangirl! I’m so looking forward to reading it. I heard from many people that Fire with Fire is A LOT better than Burn for Burn so I have high hopes for that one. (:
Kelly recently posted…Stacking the Shelves [51]
Fangirl looks awesome and is everywhere right now. It’s been on my wishlist for a while.
Sarah recently posted…Maybe I Will + Giveaway
The cover of Fangirl is so pretty too! -fangirls all over it-
Kelly recently posted…Stacking the Shelves [51]
I’d forgotten that I wanted to read Poison Princess. I am moving that up my list, it sounds pretty interesting!
Have a great week!
Ha ha, glad to remind you of it Erin! ;D
Kelly recently posted…Stacking the Shelves [51]
Fangirl needs to be in my hands, Kelly! I NEED IT. I just started The Beginning of Everything since it’s on my Fall TBR list and is good so far. I hope you get to read it.
Cee recently posted…TOP TEN TUESDAY | Books On My Fall TBR List
You never got your hands on Fangirl yet Cee?! That’s outrageous!
Yay, I’m glad to hear that The Beginning of Everything is good so far. The hype is usually evil and LIES.
Kelly recently posted…Stacking the Shelves [51]
WOW you have many books on your list I don’t know of yet – that’s always really exciting, so thank you for sharing.
Have a great rest of the day, and happy reading.

I love Fire With Fire, watch out for that ending!!!! I totally want to read Fangirl, I feel like everyone has read it already except me!
Aly @ My Heart Hearts Book recently posted…Top Ten Books On My Fall 2013 TBR List
I’ve already seen people who was absolutely SHOCKED over the ending, so I have high hopes for it. :D
You’re not alone Aly – I still need to read Fangirl too.
Kelly recently posted…Stacking the Shelves [51]
I’ve also never read a Kresley Cole book and decided to start with Poison Princess! I wanted to buy the paperback when it came out but somehow that never happened…
Crown of Midnight really tops Throne of Glass!! It was sooooo good! And though I’m not usually a dragon girl I do want Scorched. Awesome list :)
Carmen B. recently posted…Top Ten Tuesday: Books on my Fall 2013 TBR list
Ha ha, there’s still time to buy the paperback Carmen! ;D
I’ve been hearing that EVERYWHERE and I know I need to read Crown of Midnight soon, but I have so many other books I need to read first.
I’m not a dragon girl either, but the cover of Scorched just looks AMAZING.
Kelly recently posted…Stacking the Shelves [51]
Wooo Deception and Crown of Midnight are both in my pile of books waiting TBR! I was a little disappointed though because the covers for Defiance and Deception are basically the same, just with a different pose and colors. At least it’s pretty.
Terri @ Starlight Book Reviews recently posted…Review: The Truth About Forever
Really? I think Deception is prettier because you can clearly see the girl model’s face and the background is just more shiny and prettier. :P
Kelly recently posted…Stacking the Shelves [51]
I love it when sequels are even better than the first book in the series. So yay for Crown of Midnight and Fire With Fire.
I’ve been wanting to pick up Poison Princess for the same reasons as you but the time hasn’t arrived yet for me…
Sana @ artsy musings of a bibliophile recently posted…Top Ten Tuesday: Fall To-Read List
Definitely. :D
Me neither, but hopefully the time will come since Endless Knight will be releasing soon.
Kelly recently posted…Stacking the Shelves [51]
Scorched and Thousand Words are two I’ve been meaning to read as well! And I’ve never heard of Twinmaker before, but I’m adding it to my TBR list now!
Kayla recently posted…Top Ten Tuesday: Fall TBR List
I hope Scorched and Thousand Words would be great reads. :D
I’ve never heard of Twinmaker before now too either!
Kelly recently posted…Stacking the Shelves [51]
I checked out the Poison Princess audio book because it was nominated for something and it”s pretty good and makes up for the jerky male character. I still need to check out Fangirl and Crown of Midnight
Jess recently posted…Mini Reviews : The Night Circus , Insurgent and How To Ruin A Summer Vacation
Really? I’ll need to hear a snippet of the audiobook then – the narrator of audiobooks usually annoy me to no end. Hopefully the narrator of the Poison Princess audiobook won’t.
Kelly recently posted…Stacking the Shelves [51]
Great choices – so many of these are on my TBR (eventually) too :) Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on them – especially Scorched!
Sarah E recently posted…Top Ten Books On My Fall 2013 TBR List
Thanks!
Hopefully I can read Scorched sometime soon – there are just SO many books on my TBR list!
Kelly recently posted…Stacking the Shelves [51]
Oh my gosh! How have I not heard of Scorched before. That cover is absolutely amazing. And I love dragon books!
Going on my TBR now. :-)

Fangirl is on my list, too! I can’t wait to read it – I know I’ll love it because Eleanor & Park was so lovely. Defiance was a so-so book for me, I’m not sure whether or not I’ll read the sequel. The covers are beautiful, though! Scorched looks pretty good – there are not enough dragon books in the world. :p
Rebecca recently posted…Top Ten Tuesday: Fall Reading List
I haven’t read Eleanor & Park yet, so I’m super nervous.
Aww, sorry to hear that Defiance was a so-so book for you. ):
The covers are indeed beautiful! :D
There definitely need to be more dragon books in the world.

Defiance is so good! I can’t wait for Deception to come out I’m so excited!! Enjoy the books!!
My Top Ten

Deception is out in the US already and I STILL haven’t re-read Defiance yet.

Yay to Fangirl! And Poison Princes… I honestly am still a bit fueled by that book (fueled by strong dislike, mind you). The guy is a jerk, like you mentioned hearing about. It’s true. And he talks about himself in the third person (“ole Jack.”) Normally I’d wish that you liked this one even though I didn’t, but I can’t even do that. Because I think that’s the equivalent of telling you to cozy up to a douche bag-type. — on a happier note, I just saw that Crown of Midnight breached the top ten NYT bestsellers list! Yay for CoM!
Becca @ Nawanda Files recently posted…Top Ten Tuesday: Our Fall TBR List
Nooo, Jack talks about himself in the 3rd person? That’s so annoying! It’s like AJ from Big Brother Canada – he was talking about himself so much in the 3rd person that I was wondering, wait, his name is AJ right? Like, confusing much?
Yeah, I saw! Hopefully it will stay there for a long, long time. :D
Kelly recently posted…Banned Books Week Giveaway Hop
I hope you love Defiance and Deception as much as I did! Crown of Midnight was awesome too. I can’t wait to read Scorched!
Jessi @ Auntie Spinelli Reads recently posted…Kinslayer Blog Tour: Review + Giveaway

I’ve heard that Crown of Midnight is even better than Throne of Glass. As for Scorched, the cover is GORGEOUS.

Crown of Midnight was brilliant, I really hope you enjoy it. And Fangirl is among the many books I want to read soon!
