Stacking the Shelves [55]

Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews, is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

I couldn’t help but buy a lot of books this week.

Bought:
Anna and the French Kiss (Anna and the French Kiss #1) by Stephanie Perkins
Lola and the Boy Next Door (Anna and the French Kiss #2) by Stephanie Perkins
Monsters (Ashes Trilogy #3) by Ilsa J. Bick
Enclave (Razorland #1) by Ann Aguirre
How To Love by Katie Cotugno

annaandthefrenchkiss monsters

I couldn’t resist buying the paperback edition of Anna and the French Kiss and Lola and the Boy Next Door this week! They are so awfully pretty together. :D<3 My friend bought me Monsters as a very early birthday gift because I told her to. :P
As for Enclave, Fierce Reads is stopping by NYC in November and I bought that one to prepare for the signing.
How To Love‘s cover is so pretty that I couldn’t resist buying it.

Borrowed:
Copperhead (Ironskin #2) by Tina Connolly
Allegiant (Divergent #3) by Veronica Roth
Perfect Ruin (The Internment Chronicles #1) by Lauren DeStefano

copperhead

I’m currently reading Perfect Ruin and it’s a bit meh. As for Allegiant, I might read it soon. Don’t worry, I know how it ends. As for Copperhead, I’ll have to read Ironskin first.

That’s all for this week! What books did you guys get?

I can’t wait to read Copperhead. I wasn’t a huge fan of Ironskin, but I like the sound of this one :) Perfect Ruin looks great, I hope it gets better. I’m not sure what to think about Allegiant. I want to read it, but after hearing all these things..

I’ve heard bad things about Ironskin, so I stayed away from that one but Copperhead looks and sounds amazing so I’m giving it a chance. Hopefully I won’t regret it. o:
Ha ha, I didn’t like Perfect Ruin very much, if at all. >___< Yeah, the whole death threats thing makes me vary of the book. Kelly recently posted…ARC Book Review: Pawn – Aimee CarterMy Profile

I love the covers for Anna and Lola. I think I’m going to wait to get them until Isla comes out. I can’t wait for my copy of Allegiant to come. I’m absolutely dying to read it at this stage!

I keep seeing Allegiant everywhere and think that maybe I should read Insurgent. Lmao. I’m so behind on series! Yay for procrastination!
I’m about to order Anna & the French Kiss to get signed at YALLfest…I’ve heard such great things about it, and although I’m not a huge fan of contemporary, I’m looking forward to reading it!
I’m still sad that Perfect Ruin is meh. I think I’ll wait a while to pick that one up.
I still need to read Bick and Aguirre’s series….again with the procrastination. *sigh* Too many books, too little time!!

I got Copperskin unsolicited from the pub, but I DNFed Ironskin O_O I hope you can get into it better than I did! I think my problem was that it felt too historical for me. >.<

Just a warning Jess: Insurgent is full of angst. Like, literally making out, fighting, making out, and repeat.
I can’t wait until you read Anna and the French Kiss so we can both fangirl over it! <3 Fingers crossed, hoping you'll love it!
Maybe you'll like Perfect Ruin more than I did. You'll never know.
I've read both Enclave and Outpost. Enclave was amazing while Outpost, not so much. I'm hoping I'll like Horde and Bick's books.
Ha ha, lucky! I want a copy of Copperhead myself. <3
No, it's probably not that. I've seen and heard that a lot of people DNF'd Ironskin. o:

OH DAMN, KELLY. I need to get me copies of Stephanie Perkins books because I adore her! The covers are sooo gorgeous! ME WANT.

I really hope Perfect Ruin is a good book. I have it on hold at the library when it comes out of tech services. I know you said it was extremely boring at the beginning so that’s worrying me a bit. :\

Why do they have to change the covers; why not release the Isla cover and then change it when it is released in paperback? :l
