Judge A Book By Its Signature: A Bunch (Okay, Two) Of Spy Books + United We Spy – Ally Carter

I don’t know about you, but my signature is downright ugly. And lame. Let’s not forget lame. Every time I sign my name on something, whether it be a receipt or a new credit card, I wince inside. I don’t know how people come up with such awesome pretty signatures. I’m totally out of the loop with that.

One day, after getting multiple books signed, I thought what if instead of judging a book by its cover, you judge the book by the author’s signature? Will the author’s signature attract you to the book? Will you still buy the book then?

This week, I’m featuring United We Spy by Ally Carter and two other unnamed Ally Carter spy books.

I love the cover of every single Ally Carter book (in the Gallagher Girls series at least). I love the color schemes of them, the titles, the matching spines of them, everything. The cover designers of the Gallagher Girls series really did a great job on this one.

Hell yeah.

I like how simple Ally Carter’s signature is. I like the way she writes her “A”‘s and her “er”‘s and how sharp her two “l”‘s are.

I’ll have to think about this one.

Will you buy United We Spy and other Ally Carter spy books based on the author’s signature alone?

Oooh I really like her signature! It’s simple and cute! I love signatures that look complex though and makes me say “WOW” lol.

I like Ally Carter’s signature too – like you said, it’s simple but still makes you go “WOW”!
