Stacking the Shelves [64]

Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews, is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

I’m so proud of myself – I bought NO books this week! (Probably because there isn’t any book I want to buy at the moment anyways.) My not-really book ban is definitely working for me so far.

Gifted:
Roomies by Sara Zarr & Tara Altebrando

roomies

Jess from The Reading Nook Reviews surprised me with a book for Christmas (I have no clue why Amazon decided to deliver it late). Thank you so much Jess! <3 That’s all for this week! What books did you guys get?

Love the cover! Don’t think I’ve ever read a book by Zarr before. Curious to see what you think. :)

I’ve heard about another one of Zarr’s books before, but I didn’t read any of her books either. Hopefully we’ll like her books! (:

Haha congrats on not breaking your not-ban yet! I hope I manage the same self control next month. I hadn’t heard of Roomies until recently, now it seems as though everyone is acquiring it!

Good luck; I know I’ll definitely be buying some books next month since so many awesome books are released then.
I’ve seen Roomies all around the place, but have absolutely no clue on how others feel about it.

Yay! I’ve seen Roomies on Netgalley and I really want to read it, too. I think a perfect time for me to read it would be this summer since I heard the book is about dorming and college… and I’m starting college this summer so that book would be a perfect read. I hope you like it!

Oh my goodness, you’re starting college this summer? Good luck! Don’t worry though, it’s not as bad as you think it is, I promise! I thought it was the WORST thing ever when I was going to college, but it’s not. ;D
As for Roomies, yep, it’s the perfect book for you then! :D

I hope Roomies is good. I managed to read a bit of it when I was in the bookstore the other day, but I was not liking the characters very much. :\

I just finished Roomies this week, and I was very pleasantly surprised. I’m not sure why, but I had pretty low expectations going into it, but I really enjoyed it. There were lots of touching moments, and it really captured the feeling of heading off to freshman year of college.

    Hope you enjoy it!

    LOL. Oh, Amazon.

What’s really hilarious is that it was switched from UPS to USPS. Does this mean that USPS is more reliable after all? :)

<3 and can't wait to swap notes w/ you about it.

USPS is NOT more reliable, trust me. At least UPS makes you sign for packages.

I want to read this book so bad! I’ve heard a lot of good things about it and I’m a total sucker for college stuff.

Sigh, Amazon. They’re either REALLY on time, or not on time at all. I think it’s sort of out of their hands once it’s at the post office though.

Amazon should still be responsible on whether or not the book gets there on time though. I mean, they DID make a promise.
