Life Of A Blogger is hosted by the fabulous Jessi from Novel Heartbeat where we let people know more about our lives outside of blogging so they can get to know us better!
Okay, here’s the thing: I don’t know the latest music. I don’t know what’s currently “in” and what music is considered “cool” and what music isn’t considered “cool.” I just don’t keep up with the music industry. In fact, I don’t keep up with any music that I asked twitter for any music recommendations, and boy, did you guys give me tons of great music to listen to.
I listen to all kinds of genres, except for rap because 1. I personally don’t get rap & 2. I personally don’t think anyone can rap well. Rap music is just not my style.
Since I listen to most genres of music, I’ll just list a few of my favorite songs in no particular order (I hope you guys read the last four words). These are the songs I can listen on repeat for hours and never grow tired of it.
1. Anything Coldplay – Paradise, The Scientist, Altas, Viva la Vida, etc.
2. Demi Lovato – Fire Starter, Heartbreak, Let It Go
3. Taylor Swift – You Belong With me
4. Sia – Elastic Heart
5. Lana Del Rey – Summertime Sadness + Carmen
6. Lorde – Everybody Wants To Rule The World
7. Of Monsters and Men – Silhouettes
If you guys have any music recommendations that you think I will like, list them away! I need more songs on my playlist and more songs to listen to over and over again on repeat.
I am listening to Of Monsters and Men now! Love them! That GIF is hilarious :)

Oh yes, I love Coldplay and I really like some of the songs from Of monsters and men :D That is definitely my type of music! I adore thinks like Mumford & Sons, Adele, The Lumineers, Ben Howard, First Aid Kit, The Civil wars :D

I ADORE Coldplay. I can play all his songs on repeat. <3
And ohh, I've never heard of any of them before (except for Adele). I'll have to check them all out!

Ooh if you like Lorde you should definitely try out Arctic Monkeys or Daughter. <–those are probably my two favorite bands. Coldplay is definitely really great and I also love Of Monsters and Men. I'm really into alternative stuff, so I could go on and on about music in that genre. Lorde and Lana are two artists I'm also fans of. There are just so many great artists out there it's so hard to buy enough music to fit all of the requirements. I agree, though, I really hate rap music for some reason. Although I do like Idina Menzel's version of Let it Go better than Demi's, it's still a great song. :)

I love Lana Del Ray! And Taylor Swift, I don’t even care #noshame.
Hmmmmm, recommendations. I love Ashes Remain at the moment, Courtesy Call is a great song, I adore Ke$ha (again, NO SHAME), Fall Out Boy, One Republic’s new album, The Calling, Frisky by Tinie Tempah (I’ve had this on repeat for days), How Far We’ve Come by Matchbox 20, Pink, and Wonderland by Natalia Kills :D

When I read “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” I read it to the tune of Viva la Vida. Ahaha that was a trippy moment. I totally love Coldplay though! The Scientist is one of my favorite songs :D<3 It makes me so happy, and so sad at the same time. So beautiful<333
And I haven't heard many of Demi Lovato's new stuff – besides the ones that play on the radio over and over. But I do like her. I just know her for her older music.
Taylor Swift is like that too – I know a lot of her older music, but nothing new except for her hits.
The only song I know by Sia is Breathe
Aaaannnnndd…. music recommendations? Huh. That's really hard! I could go on forever, but based off those seven I've got nothing xD
Um, personally I'd say Imagine Dragons (Demons, It's Time) The Workday Release (Dragons, Love in a Box) Matchbox Twenty (Unwell, If You're Gone) OneRepublic (Counting Stars? I'm currently in love with that one, aha)
And I'm currently in love with my 2000s Indie station on Pandora.
My favorite band ever is Jack's Mannequin. I pretty much love all of their songs, which is rare indeed. Although I do like The Cab's album Whisper War. My list for alternative/rock can go on forever, so I'll just end with my beautiful Icelandic band – Sigur Ros. Particularly Hoppipola<3

I love all those artists you named! Except Taylor Swift. I like her music and it’s catchy but it’s kind of getting old. I’m just not really keeping up with her anymore. But I love Lorde, Lana Del Rey, Coldplay, Sia, and Of Monsters & Men (: I have Demi Lovato’s most recent album, and I like some songs on it! xD

Hmmm…you’re a hard person to recommend music for. But I agree with you, rap music kind of feels like it’s getting less appeal than it used to. I remember I used to be a little itsy bit into Eminem before I kind of just got bored. Now I don’t listen to rap at all. I’m more into indie rock, folksy, electronic stuff. I know, weird mix, but it sure beats the stuff I used to listen to in my last three years of high school. Screamo and some heavy alternative rock that I don’t even understand why I listened to it. I’m not sure if you’ll like the music I like, but I really like Foxes. Her album hasn’t been released yet, but I kind of erm…yeah I got her music not the right way >_< But I LOVE her music! Her newest song "Holding Onto Heaven" is awesome and great! ^_^ I also got into Charli XCX and I really like "SuperLove." Bombay Bicycle Club is great too but I'm not sure what song to recommend from them. Maybe "Magnet?" You should try them out and tell me what you think :)
I’m exactly the same, I don’t really care what’s “cool” or not, whether Taylor Swift is “out”, or indie rock too hipster. I listen to stuff that I like. I loved Coldplay until their last album came out and they got too pop for me. But I love their older stuff and I saw them in concert, it was so amazing :) I really like Lana Del Rey and Of Monsters and Men, plus some Taylor Swift songs. I highly recommend The Naked and Famous, they’re one of my favorite bands. I have one of their songs on my “Genres of Music” post, so you can come visit & listen :)

I’m like you, I don’t really keep up with what’s “in” or new with music. Sometimes, I find things I like and its years old, or its brand-new. IDK, I just listen to what I like. Recently, I’ve really been listening to The Wanted (favs: Gold Forever, Show Me America), Imagine Dragons (Demons), OneRepublic (Counting Stars, Secret)

I LOVE that you mentioned the Catching Fire soundtrack! I”m obsessed with a few of the songs on there too! Aah Coldplay how I love thee! I listen to so many different kinds of music as well! From country to alternative, to pop, to classical, to Broadway/Soundtracks to like EVERYTHING. Except Rap and Heavy Metal types. Haha. I love music way to much! LOVE lots of the songs you mentioned! Woot!

I’m not updated on the music industry either. XD And I also do not get rap music. AT ALL. I still listen to almost the same songs I listened to in high school which was 5 years ago, I think. :P
