Stacking the Shelves [68]

Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews, is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

This week, I bought a lot of books (oops). Well, at least I’m still keeping up with my not-really book ban so far.

Bought:
Evertrue (Everneath #3) by Brodi Ashton
Uninvited (Uninvited #1) by Sophie Jordan
A Mad, Wicked Folly by Sharon Biggs Waller
Fragile Spirits (Souls #2) by Mary Lindsey

evertrue fragilespirits

Three of them are pre-orders (Evertrue, A Mad, Wicked Folly, and Fragile Spirits). I got a lucky find at Strandbooks: Uninvited. I can’t wait to read it since everyone has been fawning all over it!

Gifted:
Warrior (The Dragon King Chronicles #2) by Ellen Oh
This Is What Happy Looks Like by Jennifer E. Smith

warrior

My friend gave me a super late birthday gift and a super late Christmas gift. Yay! :D

Won:
Unforgotten (Unremembered #2) by Jessica Brody

unforgotten

I received a mysterious package from Macmillan and it happened to be Unforgotten! Looks like I don’t have to stalk my UPS mailman anymore this week, but he did annoy me.

That’s all for this week! What books did you guys get?

This week I went back on my not-really-book-ban as well! I bought This is What Happy Looks Like (how about that!), The Intern by Gabrielle Tozer and This Song Will Save your Life (SQUEE!).

After that, I decided I probably didn’t need the library :)

Super jealous for Evertrue! I’m dying to see how that book turns out I totally hate you for living so close to the Strand because gah! *cries* Anyway, happy reading, Kelly! <33

My mailman always annoys me. I got Fragile Spirits as well this week. Looks like you had a great week of books. I try book bans and they don’t work for me. Good haul.

Ooo, such lovelies! I really enjoyed A Mad, Wicked Folly! I reviewed it in the last few weeks of December last year. Definitely one my favorite books written during the 1900s – I don’t usually like fiction set during the 1900s.

I loved Uninvited as well! I hated Jordan’s Firelight series, so I was hesitant, but I’m glad I read Uninvited. I got an ARC of Evertrue but I hated Everneath and never read Everbound, oops? I feel like I should write a review though… nahhh.

Anyway, enjoy all your new lovelies, Kelly! Have a wonderful weekend! ^_^

Aaagh! I can’t wait to read Evertrue and Uninvited… they both look so great! Except I haven’t heard many good things about the former, because bloggers have been saying they have trouble connecting to it … so I’m excited to hear your opinion on the matter! :) Awesome haul!

A mad wicked folly!!! i think that will be one of my first purchases once I’m done with my book buying ban. Also uninvited sounds so good. You know, I have unremembered but still haven’t read it yet. I should get on that. =)

Ooh Unforgotten! I still have to read the first book in the series! I’ll have to get it before she comes to the signing here in Nashville. :D I am reading Uninvited this week and I’m really excited, because like you said- everyone seems to be enjoying it! And I am really interested in A Mad, Wicked Folly! And of course I can’t wait to see what you think of Evertrue!

    Happy reading girl!

I am excited to see what you think of A Mad Wicked Folly! It is definitely on my radar, I am not a huge historical fiction kinda person but it has peaked my interest! Nicole was able to snag me a copy of Uninivited at ALA so I am hoping I enjoy it!

Sorry you didn’t like Uninvited as much as you had hoped :/
I totally had high expectations, too. But I think I’ll just take this one in stride. Just in case. I’m still intrigued by the concept :o
Keep going with that “book ban” :D
I’m kind of on one, too. But that’s because I don’t have a car to drive to the store. Or money to order them online xD
