I’m backk! Did you guys miss me? I’m sure you guys have figured out that I’m back as of yesterday, when I posted up my review of The Winner’s Curse.
I miss talking to you guys about bookish stuff and non-bookish stuff alike. I miss the email notifications telling me you guys had left a comment, writing reviews (yes, I actually like writing reviews), and interacting with you guys. Thank goodness I’m back and feeling refreshed!
I also missed blogging in general. Like I expected, I was too busy studying for all my tests and midterms to actually blog. During my hiatus, I had to take at least 10 tests and I just finished taking one test yesterday. March is definitely a tiring, draining month, especially since there are no breaks for me.
All I was thinking is thank goodness I took a hiatus or else the stress of blogging and studying for tests combined will kill me. And you don’t want to see a dead Kelly, do you? (I sure hope not. -side-eyes all of you-)
But yay! As of now, I’m FREEE! Well, kind of. I do have a midterm left next month, but whatever. -waves the problem away-
To celebrate the fact that I’m backkk, I’ll be giving a SIGNED, hardback of what I reviewed yesterday, The Winner’s Curse, to one lucky person with swag! The giveaway is international of course.
To win a signed copy, all you have to do is play a mini-Cover Guessing Game!
The Rules + Hints:
- The books used in this Book Cover Guessing Game are all young adult books released in the spring and summer.
- At first, I wanted to give the prize to the first person who guessed all the above book covers correctly, but I figured that it would be unfair to people in different time zones. Therefore, I will allow Rafflecopter to pick the winner. However, the winner the Rafflecopter picks must have all the correct answers to win or all their entries will be eliminated and I will choose a new winner. Sorry about that, but hey, all the Cover Guessing Game entries are not required. Do the Cover Guessing Game at your own risk.
- Rafflecopter (sometimes) does not let you change your answer once you input your answer in. If you do want to change your answer for any book cover after submitting your old answer to the Rafflecopter, simply email me at whatisakelly(at)gmail(dot)com with the subject “January Cover Guessing Game Answer” with your new book cover answer and the name you used to enter the contest.
- If the Rafflecopter does not accept your answers, just email me your answers at whatisakelly(at)gmail(dot)com with the subject “Back Guessing Game.”
And that’s not all! If this giveaway reaches 3,000 entries, I’ll add an extra prize, a SIGNED copy of Marie Rutkoski’s The Shadow Society!
Good luck everyone & let the guessing game begin! ;D
Terms & Conditions:
- This contest is open INTERNATIONALLY.
- The giveaway will run until April 30, 2014.
- You must be 18 years or older, or have parents’ permission to enter.
- All your entries will be disqualified if you pickup entries for something you haven’t done. (I had to do this for so many of my last giveaways, please don’t make me do this again.)
- If you only use ONE account to do all these tasks and enter under different names, they will still only constitute as ONE entry.
- If the winner does not respond to my e-mail within 48 hours, I will have to choose another winner.
- I am not responsible for any items lost in the mail.
I can never end up doing to cover guessing game!

Cover #1 was easy but the other two were tough. I got them, anyway! ;)

I missed your review yesterday so I didn’t know your hiatus ended until today when I saw “cover guessing game” and I was like, that’s definitely Kelly! So glad to see you back, I definitely missed you as well! These cover guessing games are tough though! I can never seem to get more than one right… Must mean I should brush up on my cover identifying skills! :D

Yes, Cover Guessing Game definitely equals Kelly. ;D<3
Ha ha, glad to help you in that area. I actually think that this one is REALLY easy, with the exception of number 3 because of GRASS.
Kelly recently posted…Stacking the Shelves [73]
I already have a copy of this book, so I’m not going to enter the giveaway (although I’d love to, because I’m like guessing covers :D) I’m happy that you are back!

Hi Kelly! I’m happy you’re back! I have to say I missed your cover guessing games and your posts/discussions :)
This mini cover guessing game comes in handy to me since I have a school paper to do and I’m short on time.. But the difficulty is high; no doubt you really pick details hard to spot. ;)
And thanks for the (amazing, as always) giveaway!
Hi Marcia! :D
Aww, thanks! I’m glad to be back though!
Ha ha, I tried my best, but I think this might be the easiest Cover Guessing Game that I’ve ever made. But don’t worry, you have PLENTY of time to do it!
And no problem!
Kelly recently posted…Stacking the Shelves [73]
Cover 3 took me some time (and squinting), but I’d say this was medium-level difficulty (the last big one was tough, so everything else seems easy by comparison). I’m glad you survived the brutal month!
Beth W recently posted…Matchaccino > Sbucks
This one was definitely easier than my last ones. ;D
Thanks, I’m glad I survived too! But there’s more to come in May and just ugh. ):

I’m glad you’re back Kelly and survived midterms. :D. I swear I almost die when midterms come around. The stress!!!!!!!
Thanks for the giveaway :D

Yes, midterms + finals = STRESSSSSSSSSSSSS. I mean, why can’t school just let me sleep? That’s all I’ll ask. D:

I’m so glad to be back Eileen! Studying for midterms was boring and stressful and just plain UGH all around.
And don’t worry, it’s totally okay! <3

Woo! I can’t believe I successfully got all three of those covers. I’m usually really terrible at cover guessing games. Haha. Glad you’re back! Thanks so much for the giveaway. :D

It’s okay this time! I hope I got the 3rd one right! :D
#3 was pretty hard, but I think I got it anyways ( Keep my fingers crossed that I did ) So I am gonna say medium-hard.

That first gif honestly describes me during the school year, haha. I’m in grade twelve right now and my classes are kind of stressful this semester, so I think I might actually end up taking a blogging hiatus too during the time I have exams…
Anyway, welcome back! :)

So glad you’re back, Kelly! And I think all students can relate to the not wanting to study part. ;)
Anyway, this time round, the cover guessing game was moderately challenging. Thanks for the giveaway!

I had a medium/hard time with #3… But this was fun! Thanks for the giveaway
Congrats on [almost] finishing your exams!! Mine are still ongoing. :(
LOL I feel like the easy ones for everyone else was hard for me. Why do people not read more contemporary? D: And Kelly, this was so not easy. EASIER PLEASE. ;D
Medium. It’s not that hard but it took me a long time to guess #3.
Thanks for the giveaway! :)
it was a little hard haha i hope to have successful :) *finger crossed*
I’m glad you’re back. I missed your reviews. :)
I got the first one right away but the other two have me stumped. But I feel like I should know #3. I feel like I’ve seen it a million times but I can’t think of the book!
So glad to see you back! I always have such a fun time trying to figure out these cover guessing games – they’re always tricky but when you do finally find what the book is it feels so good :)

So glad you’re back! I guess it wasn’t that hard, comparing with your previous cover guessing game. Thanks for the giveaway :D
I can not for the life of me figure out the third book cover and I only found the second by searching through other shelves and 2014 release lists. I’m so out of the loop with contemporaries!
Kaniesha @ Deux Lectrices recently posted…Kaniesha (Micro)Reviews: Secret ARC by Brigid Kemmerer
It’s really hard! Except for the first one, I knew it already at first glance. The second one is a little difficult, I knew I have seen it somewhere on Goodreads and was glad when I finally recalled the title of the book. Last one’s the hardest!

It was easy and I had a lot of fun. :)Amazing giveaway! <3
Welcome back! I love your cover guessing games, they are always a challenge and so much fun. This one wasn’t too bad, although #3 took me quite some time and a lot of squinting lol. Thank you :)
It was medium.. I remembered a lot of these covers but I couldn’t for the life of me remember what they were called!

omg , I would love to win this because I love reading books & there’s tons of books I haven’t discover yet such as this one
This should be easy. I am quite familiar with these covers but I forgot their names as I didn’t add them on my tbr. But I must say this was a fun idea!
Michelle Sedeño recently posted…Book Review: Little Celeste by Dawn McNiff
The first one was easy because I’m familiar with the cover but the other two I’m stil thinking about. Not giving up!
Thanks for the fun giveaway! =D
The first one I JUST got! After a few weeks. Not familiar with that author or the cover so yeaps….took me awhile. The other 2 were fine.
Hard! I knew the first one upon first glance, but I still haven’t gotten the second and third! Thanks for the giveaway! :)
I suck at cover guessing games, but I find them fun. I got the first one right away, but I’m still going for the next two XD
It was hard because I knew one of the covers :-(
I just really hate cover guessing games hahaha, makes my eyes hurt :)
This one was pretty easy!!! Hope I got all the covers right!
I knew the cover from the first immediately, only not the title and author at first >.<
