Life Of A Blogger is hosted by the fabulous Jessi from Novel Heartbeat where we let people know more about our lives outside of blogging so they can get to know us better!
When I first saw today’s topic, I couldn’t help but groan outloud. This post should be short.
I don’t watch sports (with the exception of the World Cup). Therefore, I don’t have a favorite sports team, never mind favorite sports teams. The end.
Just kidding. Sort of.
Instead of talking about my favorite sports teams, since I have absolutely none, I’ll talk about teams I’m rooting for during the World Cup.
Answer: It’s random. I’m not rooting for any specific team besides USA (obviously). I just look at the two teams facing off and choose a random team. Sometimes I’m lucky and manage to choose the winning team, sometimes I’m not as lucky.
Are you not into sports like I am or are you one of those people who just LOVE their sports? I want to know!
I’m like you, and don’t watch sports at all with the exception of the world cup every four years. My favourite soccer player was Spain’s top striker in the last world cup, David Villa. But sadly Spain didn’t pass the group stages this world cup, and so I lost interest. Also, this World Cup was Villa’s last world cup, which sucks because I love watching him play, but at least he got a goal in Spain’s final game! XD

I LOVE sports. I was raised with sports, will always love sports.

I love sports… well some. I love NFL and I love Peyton Manning. So currently I’m a Bronco’s fan… I don’t follow the team, I follow my Quarterback. I’m Canadian, but I hate CDN Football. I like NFL. Love Hockey… I did just say I’m Canadian right? ;) Beyond that I don’t really care too much for anything else except the Olympics. I watch every sport in the Olympics that I can. Summer and Winter. After the Olympics are over though I don’t follow anything like the skating or skiing or gymnastics or anything like that, but during the Olympics I’m glued!

I’m posting my Life of a Blogger post tomorrow, but I also don’t watch sports. The only time I do is during the World Cup. As a Dutchie, I support The Netherlands, no matter what. But if they’re out, I’m happy to see Germany win.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE sports, specifically ice-hockey, sometimes probably more than I love anything else. I just want to live and breath ice-hockey as much as possible :)

I’m a sports fan, for sure. I was raised an all-around Chicago fan, and I watch every single Chicago Bulls game I can. Basketball is my favorite sport to play and watch.

I’m not into sports either. I also watch the Word Cup, just because it’s such a big event, but I really don’t care much about sport teams. Of course I’m rooting for my country, but I also would like to see Germany win :)

Haha! I am SO into sports! I love college basketball and football. March is all about b’ball and I am the one who brings my bracket with me everywhere (even before it was electronic!) and is obsessively checking scores. I wish I were a bigger soccer fan, but I do enjoy watching the Cup. Like you, I end up choosing between the two teams too, with the exceptions of my favorites (USA, Italy, Spain, Mexico.)

I enjoy watching baseball. I can sometimes watch football and basketball, but that is highly unlikely unless all the good snacks in the house are in the family room with the game on. I can’t watch soccer, because I get super bored. However, ask me to play it and you won’t get me to stop for hours.

I only really watch the big things like the World Cup and the Olympics, so I don’t really have any favorite teams either. But it is fun to get caught up in the excitement for the big games!

I love sports! I’m a big fan of Team Canada in everything they do. In particular, I love watching Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir in ice dancing and Patrick Chan. I like to watch Milos Raonic win in tennis, I’m a huge fan of Canada’s women’s soccer team, I’m a diehard fan of my local NHL team, and in the World Cup I’m cheering for Iran and Brazil (I really like Neymar). I think I love the competition and the drama, and the idea that these athletes are making stuff happen through sheer will.
