Life Of A Blogger: School

lifeofablogger

Life Of A Blogger is hosted by the fabulous Jessi from Novel Heartbeat where we let people know more about our lives outside of blogging so they can get to know us better!

As most of you know, I attend college in New York City. I don’t want to mention what school I attend in case of -cough- stalkers -cough- lurking on the internet.

Okay, so there’s basically two different ways I can go with this topic: 1. facts about my school, which I’m sure you guys don’t want to hear about because it’s boring, and 2. how I am in school and what I do there. I’ll talk about option number two since that one is more interesting.

I am a straight A student. I pay attention in class (okay, not really, I can’t help but daydream sometimes okay?), always raise my hand in class (pshhh, yeah right Kelly), and always hand in my projects and homework in time (now this part is right). I’m almost always early for class. Yes, I’m that type of student.

I’m not the type of person who stays in school after class though. I rather go to Strand and shop (all those books!) or go home and start my homework asap so I can watch my favorite television shows.

Yes, my life is boring.

I don’t know what else to talk about revolving around this topic so…yeah. If you have any questions, ask me below? I don’t mind answering college related questions!

What school do you guys go to? Are you like me in school? I want to know!

I’m the same! I always have my homework done in time, I pay attention in class, but I don’t answer a lot of questions. Not because I don’t know the answer, but because I still feel a bit shy to talk out loud in class and I don’t like to turn all the attention to me. Teachers always really seem to like me, haha.

Ha ha, yes, our school experiences sound exactly the same! I don’t raise my hand because I don’t like people looking at me at all. I rather be unnoticed. :P
And yes! For some strange reason, teachers always like me either though I don’t talk.

I’m going to be graduating from high school next week. Any tips on how to keep up my grades in university/college? :)

The most important word here is STUDY. You actually have to study in college. Study and you’ll do fine. Don’t study and you may barely pass by.

Oh, yes. I’m that kind of student as well. I don’t answer a lot of questions in class unless others are stumbling over the answer. I’m usually the front row sitter, apple of the teacher’s eye person. Yep. I know. :-|

Ha ha, I don’t answer the question AT ALL, even when everybody else doesn’t know the answer and the teacher is furious because of it. I’ll only answer questions when the teacher calls on me. :P
I don’t sit in the front row at all. I sit in the third and fourth row, where teachers don’t really notice.

LOL ~ Y’know it doesn’t matter what you post on any topic you always find a way to make me laugh. Lucky you guys… you’re still young enough to be in college. I’m wayyy beyond that. If I were to go to college now I’d be more like you. Try and do my best and work toward that straight “A” status. Back when I was in school I was very smart but too stupid to apply myself properly. I was having too much fun with my “friends”. Where are those so-called friends now? Congrats on the Straight “A” status… an how can you not daydream a little bit with all the great characters we read about?

That sounds like my experience with college, as well…..at least for my freshman year. Sophomore year I slept a lot, skipped the classes that were boring and slow, passed classes with reasonable grades, went to SCA events every weekend, fell madly in love at least once a month (with a different boy, each time), jumped into and out of social clubs, ate too much pizza and ice cream, and wrote like my life depended on it. :)

How much longer do you have to go before your graduate??

In high school I was that student, too. But uni kinda was a wake up call for me :( Though, I’m finally in graduate school, so I guess I didn’t do too bad lol. I much rather shop for books, than stay after class, too!
Oh, what are you studying? If you don’t mind me asking.

I’m at school (grad school) but I’m like you, I’m always early (oooor… right on the dot, I’m NEVER LATE tho!). I always hand in my hw on time or before, I hate handing things in late. It bugs me. Other than that I love being a student and trying to figure out how to extend this to the phd level.

You and I are like the same person, except I’m the engineering version of you, or you’re the humanities version or me, or whatever :D And I also do stay after class sometimes and ask the professor questions (yup, I’m THAT nerd). So much nerdy happens with me O_O

    No
Let’s talk about the social hierarchy of school.

But still. YOU ARE SO SMART CAN NOT EVEN. Like I said. My mom’s dream

I cannot imagine going to school in New York City, I feel like I would be so overwhelmed. It has to be an awesome experience though :) So much going on all the time and so much to see and do! Nicole and I went to school in a more country town so it was definitely different!

I always try to finish my homework right when I get home from school or after work. I usually arrive to class a couple minutes early to get everything set out and ready for class. I sometimes doodle, but I usually just zone out. But the weird thing is, when I do zone out I can still almost repeat from verbatim what the teacher or student had just been talking about.
