Till It Arrives: Stitching Snow – R.C. Lewis

Till It Arrives is inspired by Jamie from The Perpetual Page-Turner’s Save the Date feature. Sometimes I read books that are not released anytime soon, but I want to share some of my feelings on the book right away, so Till It Arrives is born! (It also allows me to read books that appear later in my schedule, so that’s awesome too.) Since I don’t usually use GIFs in my reviews, I thought I’ll use plenty of GIFs to describe my feelings for the book I’m talking about in this feature!

Summary:

Princess Snow is missing.
Her home planet is filled with violence and corruption at the hands of King Matthias and his wife as they attempt to punish her captors. The king will stop at nothing to get his beloved daughter back — but that’s assuming she wants to return at all.
Essie has grown used to being cold. Temperatures on the planet Thanda are always sub-zero, and she fills her days with coding and repairs for the seven loyal drones that run the local mines.
When a mysterious young man named Dane crash-lands near her home, Essie agrees to help the pilot repair his ship. But soon she realizes that Dane’s arrival was far from accidental, and she’s pulled into the heart of a war she’s risked everything to avoid. With the galaxy’s future — and her own — in jeopardy, Essie must choose who to trust in a fiery fight for survival.

First Sentence: It took me seventeen seconds to decide Jarom Thacker’s reputation as the sharpest fighter on Thanda had been exaggerated.

this hurts my heart since I’m looking forward to this so much. I’ve seen a couple meh reactions to this book from very trusted blogger friends so I’m not thinking I’m going to like it. This makes me so sad because that cover, and summary, and RETELLING. *sobs*

    Hahaha.

Okay, but after laughing comes huge disappointment. You’re not the only one that is negative about this book and it makes me want to cry, because fairy tales and sci-fi? So promising :(
