Life Of A Blogger is hosted by the fabulous Jessi from Novel Heartbeat where we let people know more about our lives outside of blogging so they can get to know us better!
I don’t have favorite outings specifically, but I do have a favorite outing. I bet some of you who know me really well know exactly where I’m talking about. -shifty eyes-
The answer? Union Square, aka 14st in New York City. You know, that places with tons of shops, food, and did I mention, bookstores?
Let me detail my plan every time I go there. First, I head out of the 14st Union Square subway station and speed-walk to Strandbooks, where I immediately head to the second floor to the Young Adult section. There, I dig through all the books and usually buy at least two books.
If I’m feeling hungry for some chocolate, I then walk about three to four blocks to Trader Joe’s where I buy my favorite Lacey cookies. And buy at least three containers of them – they are delicious.
If I’m not hungry, I then leave Strandbooks and walk about two blocks to Barnes & Noble where I just browse the shelves for new releases and books I may want to read. I will then add those books on my to-read list at home. If I happen to have a coupon from Barnes & Noble, I will most likely buy a book from there.
If I’m feeling hungry for Wendy’s or Popeyes, I will walk about four to five blocks and eat my full. Yumm, fried chicken.
If I’m not hungry for some Wendy’s or Popeyes, I would walk to Books of Wonder from Barnes & Noble, which is about three blocks away. There, I would browse the signed books, be tempted to buy them, and look around some more.
Finally, I’ll go home.
Are your favorite outings full of bookish places too? I want to know!
