Life Of A Blogger: Sports You Have Played

lifeofablogger

Life Of A Blogger is hosted by the fabulous Jessi from Novel Heartbeat where we let people know more about our lives outside of blogging so they can get to know us better!

Technically, I play a lot of sports, but I’m not serious about them, ie I’m not on any sports teams whatsoever. You get a lot of benefits if you’re on a sports team in my college, a big benefit being you get your pick of classes first along with the seniors (this is a huge perk since my college has tons of students fighting for all the good professors), but I just don’t have the time nor the skills to join a sports team. Being on a sports team, keeping a book blog, and trying to maintain my high GPA would also probably kill me from all the stress.

Anyways, onto the current topic. I play a lot of sports. I play basketball (I’m not good at it and I mostly dodge the ball – who wants to get into a stampede of wild angry boys?), soccer (probably one of my favorite sports – I just love kicking the ball), and badminton (which I’m really good at making the other team lose).

Which reminds me, I want to tell you guys about a badminton story focused on my parents! As I said above, I’m really good at making the other team lose, much to the dismay of my parents. When they play, they want the game to go on and on continuously and not make anyone lose (my sister gets mad when she loses), which I’m bad at because in my opinion, sports are competitive, so someone has to lose. I also can’t help but make the other team lose. It’s just ingrained in me. So yeah.

What are the sports you guys have played? Are you like me and are not on any sports teams? I want to know!

I’m not on any sports team nor have I ever been haha. Sports are just not for me. I love the competitiveness but I don’t have the skills to be on a team. The only thing I’m good at is Wii Sports! My dad always says how he wishes I was more athletic so he could coach me for soccer and stuff but I don’t think that’s ever going to happen unfortunately for him.

I played sports in school, because we had it as subject, but I’m really not the type for most sports. I was pretty good at volleyball and I love swimming! I hope to pick that up soon :)

I’m competitive too when it comes to sports lol. Currently, I don’t play any. I’ve played touch football and ultimate frisbee throughout high school. In university, I’m hoping to start playing soccer and maybe field hockey. & I don’t have confidence in my skills, but I’m competitive! Lol

I played softball when I was younger but just on a local team… nothing fancy or competitive. Now the only sports I play are on Play Station… unless bowling and playing pool/billiards count. LOL

HA. YOU ARE OPPOSITE OF ME. I play literally nothing. In PE, I left with a 92 average compared to everyone’s 99 and 100 averages. (Granted I didn’t dress out half the time because I honestly DID NOT WANT TO DO PACERS which are pretty much the devil’s idea.) but still. But badminton is pretty much the only thing I’m even decently okay with ;P

I used to play soccer, volleyball, and softball. I miss them so much too, but my school is also very competitive. Plus, I have a job and other commitments now. We used to play badminton in gym, and I can remember those being some of the funnest gym classes.
