Life Of A Blogger: Best Childhood Memory

lifeofablogger

Life Of A Blogger is hosted by the fabulous Jessi from Novel Heartbeat where we let people know more about our lives outside of blogging so they can get to know us better!

Well, this topic is hard. A topic like “best childhood memory” sounds like it means something positive and not something negative right? The problem is, most of my childhood memories I remember are negative because we tend to remember the most negative events that had happened in our childhood. I also don’t have a very good memory, which is the main reason why I take notes when I read.

The most positive childhood memory that I remember is finding one of the newest books in my favorite series back then randomly at the library. I can still remember the excitement, the happiness, and all the squeals that went on in the library when I found the book. I showed the book to my sister, who was also a major fan of the series, and you can imagine all the giggling that commenced.

Even back then I was such a reader. ;D

I was just thinking about collecting that childhood favorite series, but it’s sadly out of print now.

What about you? What is your best childhood memory? I want to know!

I think my favorite childhood memory would probably be one of those trips to Disney Land…maybe dancing with Chip and Dale? Haha, I always loved Disney since forever!

As an early teen I discovered Agatha Christie and the mystery/thriller genre in general. She wrote well over 100 books which I managed to read in just a few years, several a week sometimes. The absolute biggest thrill was to walk into a differerent public library branch and find a row filled with Christie titles I hadn’t seen yet. This was in the old card catalogue, pre-internet, pre-Amazon days!
I still tend to devour authors. If the first book is good, I make a point to read everything they have published.

One of my favorite memories would be walking into my library and going to the wall of Nancy Drew books they had. It’s still a dream of mine to collect all the original 80+ books of set.
