Life Of A Blogger: Clothing

lifeofablogger

Life Of A Blogger is hosted by the fabulous Jessi from Novel Heartbeat where we let people know more about our lives outside of blogging so they can get to know us better!

Even though I’m a girl, I don’t wear much feminine clothing. Now that I really think about it, I don’t think I wear any feminine clothing except for the necessary ones.

My closet consists of jeans, sweatpants, hoodies, short shorts, plaid button-up shirts, American Eagle and Aero tees, Tommy Hilfiger tees, my favorite denim jacket, and fat winter jackets. Nothing has lace on it except for the necessary feminine clothing.

I don’t own a single dress or skirts because I hate dresses and skirts. The main reason why I hate them is because when I was in fifth grade, I wore a skirt while riding my bicycle in the park. The bottom of my skirt got tangled up with my legs and the bike petal, resulting in a very bad fall. I remember walking home from the park, with my chin dripping blood as I was walking and huge scrapes on my knees. It was a nightmare. I still have three scars on the bottom of my chin to prove it.

As for shoes, all I own are sneakers and slippers to wear inside my house. I don’t own a single shoe with a heel, nor do I own any flats. I have been trying to convince my parents to let me buy flats to wear for interviews, but they think I should wait until I’m older and wearing them most of the time.

I don’t own any jewelry either. My ears aren’t pierced, so I can’t wear any earrings. I used to own a cute feminine bracelet, but I lost it years ago. I also don’t own any makeup except for lip gloss, which doesn’t really count.

I know my list of clothing pretty much screams “TOMBOY!” but I’m actually not a tomboy. I just wear whatever feels comfortable and whatever I need to wear. I’m one of those people who don’t really care what I’m wearing as long as I’m not naked and drawing attention to myself.

What clothing do you guys own and wear? Are you like me, not owning much feminine clothing or do you own a lot of feminine clothing? I want to know!

I’m all about the bold clothing choices and I’m really into fashion. Leather, bold patterned pants, and strange clothes combinations. I wear a lot of different things and I am okay with wearing men’s clothing. So I guess, to answer the question, I don’t really have too much of either. I mix it up so that some days, it’s super feminine and other days it’s kind of boyish. Or I’d wear an edgy feminine type look. It all depends on my mood. Of course, there are also the days when I just throw on some sweatpants and a baggy t-shirt. :)

I like to think I have a little bit of everything in my closet. I got my read cowgirl boots and the lace dresses, but I also have skinny jeans and tie-dye t-shirts and button up shirts. OH! And I have these AWESOME blue and green silk shorts which are to die for. But if I could buy Anthropologie I totally would.

For me I just like wearing leggings / yoga pants + sandals / boots + shirt because that’s what I feel most comfortable wearing. When I was in middle school, I used to be a huge girly girl and worse a bunch of jewelry and I’d wake up an hour before I go to school just so I have time to straighten / curl my hair but now that I’m in college, I’ve changed a lot and I don’t really care anymore lol. The only jewelry I wear is earrings.

I own mostly if not all feminine clothing! I wear hoodies and jackets a lot and jeans, and they’re all colorfully feminine :) I’ve always had mostly a pink/purple wardrobe, but now I’m slowly gravitating towards more neutral colors like grey, beige, black, and white. I really like to wear dresses and knee-high boots. I also love wearing jewelry – especially necklaces and bracelets.

That bicycle accident sounded awful, especially because I’m not much of a bike person, so anything involving one kind of freaks me out. Brings back awful memories of a grade nine camping trip.

As for clothes, I’m not sure what you’d call my style– if you even consider it a ‘style’. I wear a mix and match of everything like dresses and blazers, plaid button downs and shorts, knit sweaters and jeans. I wear heels within occasion, but converse are my life. That, and cute boots. As for accessories, I don’t really wear any. Sometimes, I’ll wear a piece of jewellery or a scarf or a belt around the waist, but that’s it. Oh, and I tend to avoid anything with neon fabric, because I can’t help but feel like a glow stick in the dark and I hate drawing attention to myself.
