Friendships. That was definitely the one thing I did not expect to gain out of blogging.
I thought blogging would mean books all day long. Books in the library, books on goodreads, books on wishlists, just books. I never thought blogging will also mean that I would meet so many new awesome people and form so many new friendships where we all share one main thing in common: books. Hell, I can’t even imagine living without some of you people now that I met you guys. <3
Today's post is to celebrate both my second blogoversary and the friendships I’ve made during my two years of blogging. Because, like some anonymous genius said, “Good friends are hard to find, harder to leave, and impossible to forget.”
This list is in no particular order of course.
Cee from The Novel Hermit: HI CEEEEEEEEEEEEE. I CEEEEE YOUUUU. Yes, ALL THE PUNS (AND I DON’T CARE). I love the fact that I can talk about anything with Cee, from #fullhashtagconversations to ALL CAPS TALK. I’m still thankful for the day she commented on my review of Wallbanger by Alice Clayton, aka the book that started our awesome and sometimes twitter spammy friendship. Even though we don’t spam twitter anymore because most of our conversations take place in DMs, our conversations are as energetic and as random as ever. Well, kind of random. And psst, have you read Rusty Nailed or Screwdrivered yet?
Jon from Scott Reads It: I still find it funny that Jon’s blog is named after a comic book series. I’ll leave you guys to figure out which one. I love that I can talk about anything bookish with Jon, complain about our awesome classes (-shakes fist at Calcalus-), keeps me in the know, and how he could make me fangirl like a crazy person with him – in public. Yeah, we’re one of those people that attract a lot of disgusted stares by our very loud animated conversations in public. Hopefully we can have another one of those conversations soon and annoy some more people Jon. ;D
Kristen from My Friends Are Fiction: Kristen is SO talented! Have you guys seen her Lego Cover Art feature? If not, check it out asap because you are missing out. I sadly forgot how I met Kristen (do you remember how we met Kristen?), but I am so glad I met her. We just have so much in common and can talk with each other about books and life and just get each other. I hope I can meet her one day in real life and be perfectly awkward together. And talk about books while being awkward.
Crystal from Crystal In Bookland: Crystal is simply awesome. There are no other words to describe her. She’s engaging, thoughtful, fun to talk to, and won’t think twice before helping someone even if she’s busy with all the many things she does. Thank you Crystal for being so awesome and we definitely have to talk more often! <3 Alyssa from The Eater of Books: I’ve known Alyssa for a longgg time, but it wasn’t really the past few months until I really got to know her and chat. I think it’s so awesome that we’re around the same age because we both totally understand the awful pressure of school and its time-consuming ways. Of course, we can also chat about boys and totally understand each other.
Grace from Books of Love: I forgot how I met Grace – all I know is that I’ve known her for a longgg time. Grace is someone I can talk about anything bookish related and I definitely learned and still learn a lot of things from her, not everything bookish. We need to go Strand shopping again one day Grace (and let me be a terrible you-need-that-book-and-that-book-and-that-one! influence on you)!
Lili from Lili’s Reflections: I met Lili by the most random chance/method ever: I was participating in ARCycling and emailing them and Lili happened to be one of the people working ARCycling that day. I told her how much I loveeeeeed her name (I still do) and we struck up a conversation. I also remember that she was the one who taught me how to use YA Book Exchange. We’ve became friends ever since and hanged out at book events we were both attending and with other NYC bloggers – as Jon calls them, the “NYC crew.”
Tabitha from Tabitha’s Book Blog: I met Tabitha on the Harlequin line at BEA this year and she was so nice! Not only did she share her BEA schedule with me when I told her I lost mine, but Tabitha also gave me her ARC of Afterworlds when I told her how much I wanted it and how I missed the drop for it. Basically, Tabitha is SO nice and awesome! I hope we’ll get the chance to hang out more in the future!
Danielle: I forgot how I met Danielle, but I definitely know that she is awesome. I mean, Danielle was the one who first showed me around BEA last year, teaching me how it works when I was a total blogging noob. She keeps me in the know and introduces me to books I haven’t even heard of. Thank you Danielle for being an awesome friend!
Nikki from Fiction Freak: Nikki is the girl I can have an ALL THE CAPS conversation with and not appear crazy. She is so energetic (give me some of your energy Nikki!) and even though I never met her in real life, I know she’ll be absolutely fun to be around and hang out with. Nikki is absolutely fearless and keeps me on my feet. One day we WILL meet in real life and shop in Strand together Nikki. One day.
I’m probably missing a few key people and if I accidentally left you out, I’m really sorry. Just know that you, too, are awesome. <3
Unlike last year, I won't have seven days of celebration and giveaways for my blogoversary. Instead, this year, I'll have three days of celebration.

I met one of the nicest person I´ve ever known talking about books *-*
We both love reading, but not a lot of people we knew read, so we couldn´t fangirl with them. And when our group of frieds started to hang together, we started to talk, and one of the first books we read together was Anna and the French Kiss XD
So I have a special reason to take part in the giveaway ;)
PD: I´m Spanish, so I apologize for my gammatic mistakes

I have actually made friendship once I got lost in school. There was this other guy lost, too. We talked, and now we are living a decade as friends!
I love book friends! :) I became friends with one of my futures SILs because of books. I’m one of very few people that will just get whatever book she recommends. It’s been really awesome to bond with her over books- she’s ten years older than the fiancé, so it took longer for us to have a relationship than his other sister, but we constantly talk about books.
Happy blogoversary and thanks for the awesome giveaway!
my friends are the ones I met in real life
thanks!
I have been blogging for more than 12 years now and over the years I have made a lot of great friendships. I have met so many people from all over the country and some of them have stayed in my life, becoming friends. Not only because of the books but because of the personality. I appreciate it way more than I would have guessed before I started blogging, it really is something special.
In November I’m going to London to meet the first book blogger outside my own country. It’s nerve breaking but also very exciting and I can’t wait to go. :D
My love of reading brought me to work at Barnes & Noble after finishing college and now I have lots of friends there that I can get excited about new books with!
Beautiful blogpost ❤️
It made me have loads of friends, as anime did XD

I consider all the book bloggers, booktubers, etc to be my ‘bookish friends’ because they (and you) are all amazing people and I love the little conversations about books that we all have even if they aren’t constant or personal. Just talking about books with other people makes my day! :)
I’ve made some wonderful friends through books! Mostly at book signings. At the Jenny Han signing, I met a great group of people and now we see each other whenever there’s a bookish event. I love knowing people who read the same things as me and having people to fangirl with!

I just started to chat about books on the Internet, and it’s been great getting to talk about what I love about my favorite books with people on Twitter and Instagram. I can’t wait to make more friends through books! :)
I’ve been a few friends that I talk to quite a bit, on twitter & on Goodreads. They are awesome as far as i’m concerned and hope they are reading good books(/Books they are liking)
BTW; you are awesome too, these giveaways are out of this blog world(as far as i’m concerned). Thanks for the chances!
The first major book friendships I made were with the Twilight series as dorky as that sounds. I started reading the series right before it got majorly big, when you could still find people who hadn’t heard of it. I was the one who got all my friends reading it and on it went from there. So many great friendships of mine have been cemented because of books. I’m very thankful for that! Thanks for the giveaway!! :)
Usually I was able to chat with the authors about her books (and other topics other than her books, like food, stuff, book boyfriends etc.) also with some of the giveaway host like Lavender Library, Paris in twitter and there’s a book group I joined in facebook where we can discuss the latest YA books.
Happy 2 years! :)
Books are one of the things that keep my friendships alive. Glad that you’re highlighting this. :)
Hi! :))) I’m sad to say that I have no friends yet I made here (in blogging). Though in real world, I easily click with persons whom I learned are book readers. :) Especially if we love the same books :D
Thanks for the amazing giveaway!
I made a lot of friendships at book-related events, but the ones that have lasted the longest so far were the people I met online, at a Harry Potter forum. The forum itself is not really active anymore, but the people who used to post there are often talking through social networks or arranging meetings.

I’ve made a bunch of friends through my blog and I’ve electronically meet a lot of authors, too, like my british sister Nikki Kelly. But I always end up talking with my friend Rosa about books. She’s the only one who’s dying to explain me the same things I want to explain her when I finish the book. We always end up on the same team for fictional boys. It’s always nice to share the same passion and love for something with someone you are friends with and see every day

My first bookworm friend is Zs. Zs is 3 years older than me, she is the only one who was my friend before I start my blog (she said that fit to me:)).
Then I start to email about books and my reviews some of my readers: E, Icu, L. (in Hungarian, of course, I know my English is tragic :)) And now 0,5 year later we are a cool reading group with 5 members! :)

Well since I’ve never been active in blogging my friendship through books are limited but amazing nonetheless! I have two amazing bestfriends, you guess it, we become close because of books. The first one, Diana, she saw me reading City of Bones and well the rest is history. The second one, Ukhti, she pretended to love Twilight in order to talk to me, and she actually hate reading. But I did it, I force her to read and now she loves to read as much as I do! I love both of them, I still do.

Congrats on the second Blogoversary! I love getting to share my love for reading with other people who feel the same way so some of my most important friendships are based on all things bookish! My best friend and I, for example, of talking about our favourite novels and I also have a few very dear friends I met through online discussion of new released and stuff like that. There are so many cool and amazing people all over the world!
Was reading in a library when one of the stack books I had was drop by now best friend where back then saw each other as enemies but one of the books that she drop was one of her favorite. Friendships, to me, are part of the reason why I’m living life happily. There are times when I’m going through some really hard stuff, like many others, and when I look beside me I can see all the friends I have made throughout the years right beside me. The binds of friendship can be on the same level as the bonds of family. Friends will always e there for you, when you’re sad, they’ll be there to cheer you up. When you’re feeling like you need someone to be there for you at any time possible, just look around you, and you’ll see that you have at least one friend who is there for you. Friends are to be treasured, because no one knows when it will be the last day you see them. Whether it’s tomorrow or in a week, month, or year, treasure the ones you call friends before it’s too late. Having friends means that you will always have someone to support you. I think that the Anna and The French series captures the meaning of friends in so many ways. It teaches us that no matter what you do, even if it’s something bad, a friend will always be there for you.
Honestly I wouldn’t say friendships per se. More like aquantances. It’s very hard for me to keep up with Twitter and be interesting enough!

And I absolutely love this series and these covers. They’re so much better than the old ones.

Happy blogoversary! I also made some really good friends through the internet. Well, not through blogging but through Youtube, I have a booktube channel and I met some amazing other booktubers :)
Reading all the comments makes me feel like an asocial but I am a quiet person even on the Internet. I have friends from other fandoms but only a few. I don’t have a lot of readers friends but I love to read bloggers/readers opinions but I rarely comment on posts.
Happy anniversary!!
Thanks so much for the giveaway! :) And congrats on your 2nd blogoversary! ;D I’m a pretty new blogger so I don’t have that many blogging friends, but I really look forward to making some :)

Happy blogoversary!
I.don’t have a blog myself but I’ve made many friends on Goodreads who share my interests. reading is a passion that unites us
OOOh, I’ve wanted these books for some time. Thanks for the giveaway! :)
I just start to see reviews on amazon , goodreads and blogs . So never really make friend with them . But some of the authors that I comment on their website , they r really kind and help me out with some stuff that I dint know such as DM and GRC . However , I make friend with one of my friend who also loves to read booka and books become part of our chat . It’s really fun !
I love giveaways. I continue to enter because I feel like it is a law of averages. I love reading and I look forward to getting back into writing a blog and make a better effort to keep it up to date. Good Luck to everyone that enters.

I gained friends to whom I can fangirl about fictionl characters. Which I guess is one of the best things! :)
I’ve met so many great friends because of reading. I joined Tumblr and started blogging and because of that, I talk to some of my best friends almost daily who love reading as much as I do! :)
I’ve gained a lot of friends on tumblr by talking about books and authors, but I think my favorite interaction is a bookstore employee that I basically squeed with for almost an hour while I was visiting her bookstore and now I follow her blog and we talk on Goodreads a lot!
I want to read this series, not just wanted to win it for myself but I learned how beautiful having friends because this year I am transferred to the other section and I don’t have a person to talk to but I realized that my friends are the best because they are always there to cope me with my new classmastes.
PS. Thank you for the give away.
I’ve made a lot of friends thanks to the bookish world <3 With my blog, chatting on #k8chat in Twitter, and using Goodreads. I'm so THANKFUL. :D
