Till It Arrives is inspired by Jamie from The Perpetual Page-Turner’s Save the Date feature. Sometimes I read books that are not released anytime soon, but I want to share some of my feelings on the book right away, so Till It Arrives is born! (It also allows me to read books that appear later in my schedule, so that’s awesome too.) Since I don’t usually use GIFs in my reviews, I thought I’ll use plenty of GIFs to describe my feelings for the book I’m talking about in this feature!
My Heart and Other Black Holes
Author: Jasmine Warga
Series: None
Genre: Young Adult, Contemporary, Romance
Release Date: February 10, 2015
Publisher: Balzer & Bray
Summary:
There’s only one problem: she’s not sure she has the courage to do it alone. But once she discovers the website Smooth Passages and its section called Suicide Partners, Aysel’s convinced she’s found her solution. Better yet, a boy with the username FrozenRobot (aka Roman), who’s haunted by a family tragedy, is looking for a partner.
But as their suicide pact starts to become more concrete, Aysel begins to question whether she really wants to go through with it. Ultimately, she must choose between wanting to die or trying to convince Roman to live so they can discover the potential of their energy together. Except that Roman may not be so easy to convince.
This is a gorgeously written and compulsively readable debut novel about the transformative power of love and acceptance.
First Sentence: Music, especially classical music, especially Mozart’s Requiem Mass in D Minor, has kinetic energy.

To sum the book up in a GIF:
This is the first time I see this cover. It has the other one when I read it, but I love them both.
I adored this book. It’s one of my favorites of this year. Hope you did, too. (I think you did).
i will be on the look out for this…coz crying can also be good…and seriously Suicide Partners? how morbidly intriguing is that?
That first sentence is wonderful. I heard about this book a few weeks ago, I’m dying to read it! By dying, I mean, I may actually be dying until I can finally read it. Why must the release date be so far away!? :(
Oh yeah, Jamie’s blog is freaking amazing. I was inspired by a couple of her features there.

Oh wow, I had seen this cover around and was intrigued, but I must have somehow avoided the description! I generally am not a fan of suicide themed YA (hello, only person on the planet who hated 13 Reasons Why right here), and this sounds like it could go SO wrong SO quickly. However, once again, seeing your reactions in gif form has given me faith. It seems like it could turn into schlocky Chicken Soup for the Soul type writing or just be grief porn, but I’m going to be optimistic about this one! Thanks!
I’m absolutely in love with the cover of this book and the synopsis seems so intriguing and after looking through your summary I can’t wait to read this book next year!
Great giffage review! i was only semi curious about this book but now because of you I will absolutely read it! Thank you for adding to my TBR!!

This … is an interesting synopsis. I am definitely interested, if there is a book out there that talks about a girl who is obsessed about plotting her own death, please tell me, because I think that what makes this book stand out from all the rest of the realistic fiction books about death and suicide is that the girl is OBSESSED with plotting her own DEATH. Who is obsessed with planning their own death? And there’s a website about it too? Where you can find SUICIDE PARTNERS?!? Umm interesting, but I don’t think that is a very HEALTHY kind of website, its like encouraging people to commit suicide by giving them someone who also wants to commit suicide so they don’t have to commit suicide alone (which seems like exactly what happened here). I am not one for realistic fiction (its all about the fantasy and historical romances for me) but maybe I’ll read it one day, it is definitely something. And judging from your gifs, it seems that you thought the book was beautiful and touching and somewhat heartbreaking and emotional, but you were “meh” on the romance? Hmmm. I’m one of the must-read-book-with-some-romance-in-it (please don’t judge me >.<) sooo I don't know. But if an emotional book is good then I might give it a chance (I'm also one for happy endings…), honestly, I haven't really cried/bawled for any of the books I've read, waiting for that one book that will do that to me (doesn't make me love those books any less though) Thanks for the review!
Well that was a long comment … O.O
How have I not heard of this, or seen the awesome cover until now? How? Maybe that is a good thing, though, because since I am just learning about it, I only have to wait until February to read it. CRAP, that is way too long. I don’t know why I am having such a strong reaction to this one. Normally, this is the type of book I would run away screaming from. But this one? This one I will be reading, and your review just makes me…. crazy ready to get my hands on it!
