Series: Starbound #2
Genre: Young Adult, Romance, Science Fiction, Fantasy
Release Date: December 23, 2014
Publisher: Disney Hyperion

Goodreads | Amazon | TBD

Summary:

The second installment in the epic Starbound trilogy introduces a new pair of star-crossed lovers on two sides of a bloody war.
Jubilee Chase and Flynn Cormac should never have met.
Lee is captain of the forces sent to Avon to crush the terraformed planet’s rebellious colonists, but she has her own reasons for hating the insurgents.
Rebellion is in Flynn’s blood. Terraforming corporations make their fortune by recruiting colonists to make the inhospitable planets livable, with the promise of a better life for their children. But they never fulfilled their promise on Avon, and decades later, Flynn is leading the rebellion.
Desperate for any advantage in a bloody and unrelentingly war, Flynn does the only thing that makes sense when he and Lee cross paths: he returns to base with her as prisoner. But as his fellow rebels prepare to execute this tough-talking girl with nerves of steel, Flynn makes another choice that will change him forever. He and Lee escape the rebel base together, caught between two sides of a senseless war.

They are sure outer space is only a matter of time. Meagan, who is also the author of the Skylark trilogy, currently lives in Asheville, NC, while Amie lives in Melbourne, Australia. Although they currently live apart, they are united by their love of space opera, road trips, and second breakfasts.

I honestly didn’t like Starbound at all, unfortunately. This one sounds more up my alley, though. Hopefully, I’ll like it. :)

I LOVED These Broken Stars. It was beautiful. It was poetic. The romance was perfect. Oh my lord I get the shivers just thinking about it again. At first, I wasn’t sure about the book because sci-fi wasn’t really my thing. But I was happily surprised at the love I felt for These Broken Stars. I’m a little hesitant about the sequel, because I don’t want it to mess up the perfection of the first book. But seeing as how it is a spinoff, I think I’ll live. The description also sounds amazing. I’m thinking mayyybe, since this is a trilogy of 3 love stories with one enemy, that all three couples will meet at one point? Wishful thinking? Haha I don’t know. Regardless, I am excited for the next book to see what wonders (and horrors) Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner will bring. Thanks for the giveaway!! :)

And also, while I was entering my information for the “Enter to Win” tab, I only entered my name, and accidentally pressed “enter”. I didn’t get to enter my email, and I can’t find a way to edit that tab. So my email is included in these comments. Sorry, and thanks!
