Top Ten Authors I’m DYING To Meet

toptentuesday

Each week, The Broke and Bookish host a Top Ten Tuesday based on a certain bookish topic. Other bloggers are able to participate and post their own top ten list based on the topic.

This week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic is freebie, so I chose to do an old topic I’ve missed, Top Ten Authors I’m DYING To Meet, instead. I’ve met a lot of authors like Stephanie Perkins, Marissa Meyer, Leigh Bardugo, Michelle Hodkin, and Rainbow Rowell already, but I want to meet more of my favorites that never seem to come around to my area!

So here’s my list in no particular order:

lainitaylor maryepearson maggiestiefvater huntleyfitzpatrick

1. Laini Taylor
I NEED TO MEET LAINI TAYLOR ALREADY. I love, love, love her Daughter of Smoke & Bone trilogy. I want an opportunity to meet Laini and crazy fangirl over her.

2. Mary E. Pearson
I’m so sad that Mary E. Pearson isn’t going on tour again for The Heart of Betrayal. Hopefully she’ll go on tour one day so I can finally meet her and talk to her about The Kiss of Deception in person.

3. Maggie Stiefvater
Maggie Stiefvater already came to NYC during BEA in 2014, but I didn’t meet her because I was feeling so tired after BEA and my overprotective parents didn’t want me out all day. However, I WILL (hopefully) meet Maggie one day and get her to sign all ten books I have of hers.

4. Huntley Fitzpatrick
Huntley Fitzpatrick was supposed to be at an event in NYC, but things happened and she couldn’t show up, aka I sadly couldn’t express my love for My Life Next Door. Hopefully she’ll come to NYC soon so I can finally meet her!

kasiewest sherrythomas kelleyarmstrong rachelhawkins

5. Kasie West
Kasie West’s Split Second was one of the two books I gave a five star rating to in 2014. Yes, I loved Split Second that much. The only problem is that I’ve never met Kasie West since she never came to my area before. Hopefully one day I’ll meet her!

6. Sherry Thomas
I absolutely adored Sherry Thomas’ The Burning Sky (I’ve sadly not read its sequel yet). I’ve also talked to Sherry a few times on twitter and she’s just so sweet! The problem is, I haven’t met Sherry Thomas yet, but it looks like this year is the year to meet her as she’ll be in my area later this year.

7. Kelly Armstrong
I adore every single Young Adult book this woman writes (except for Sea of Shadows since I’ve never read it yet). I haven’t read Kelley Armstrong’s adult books yet, but hopefully will sometime soon. I just hope Kelley will come to my area soon so I can flail all over her!

8. Rachel Hawkins
I was a fan of Rachel Hawkins before I started blogging and discovered her Hex Hall trilogy. Although I got my copy of Rebel Belle signed because a friend was kind enough to get it signed for me, I still want to meet Rachel in person.

katiemcgarry lisakleypas

9. Katie McGarry
Both Pushing the Limits and Dare You To are two of my favorite books, ever. Just rereading some of the parts that made me cry in those two books the first time that I’ve read it still makes me cry to this day. I’ll love to meet Katie in person and tell her that.

10. Lisa Kleypas
I love, love, love Lisa Kleypas’ historical romances. I reread it over and over again. I’m not sure if Lisa goes on tours, but hopefully she will one day and she’ll magically be in my area!

And now, I want to know, what are the top ten author’s you are DYING to meet?

I’m sure I’m not telling you anything you don’t already know, but Maggie is amazing, kind, funny, awkward, and super cool. I got to interview her at the Decatur Book Festival last year and she was so much fun! I hope you get to meet her soon! :)

There are so many authors that I would love to meet! I’ve actually never met an author before, and I’m almost afraid to meet them, though. I think I’m afraid I would make a fool of myself I think!

I’m in a very nice place called Canada where no author ever goes ;P I would hate to have to pick my top ten because that would be like picking my top ten favorite books of all TIME. IMPOSSIBLE! [I have, however, met Katie Mcgarry and she has the cutest accent in the world!]

GAH! I STILL haven’t read Pivot Point and Split Second…. what is wrong with me?! I seriously need to just become a professional book reader. WHY CAN’T I BE THAT?!

Ahem. Anyway. Definitely want to meet her, Huntley, and Sherry! I wouldn’t mind meeting Rachel either! I’ve only read Hex Hall, but I have the whole trilogy to read… someday. Haha.

Great list of authors girl! Shoot- you’d have more luck meeting them in NYC, then I would in Nashville!

*squee* before i got heavily involved in the world of YA/NA…historical romance was my epic love for more than 15 years…and Lisa Kleypas was my world O.o i almost got all copies of her works…but i can’t get a hold of her two very very early ones coz they are rare in print anymore and the ones sold online are hella pricey! and i do want to meet her but i don’t see that happening in my country ever!
then i also want to meet Laini Taylor, Leigh Bardugo, Susan Ee, Jandy Nelson, Colleen Hoover, Maggie Stiefvater, Sarah J. Maas, Rainbow Rowell and Marissa Meyer and actually many more but top ten it is. I STILL CAN’T GET OVER THE FACT THAT YOU ALSO LOVE LISA KLEYPAS KELLY….LIKE THAT IS ONE OF THE MOST AWESOME FACT ABOUT YOU LOL! SERIOUSLY!

I too would love to meet Kelley Armstrong. I’m the opposite of you though. I’ve read her Adult stuff but not her YA selection. I’ve been meaning to remedy that but it’s just not happening yet.

Oh my goodness, how terrible am I? I haven’t read a book by ANY of these authors yet, although a lot of them are on my TBR list. There’s nothing for it, I have to get reading! Authors I would love to meet would be Michael Grant and Malorie Blackman for sure. Maybe Anne Tibbets as well.
