Each week, The Broke and Bookish host a Top Ten Tuesday based on a certain bookish topic. Other bloggers are able to participate and post their own top ten list based on the topic.
This week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic is a Top Ten Books On My Spring TBR List. I have so many books on my TBR list that it was hard to just pick ten of them, but alas, here’s my list!
So here’s my list in no particular order:
1. The Queen of Bright and Shiny Things by Ann Aguirre: I’m a huge fan of Ann Aguirre’s dystopian series and I’ll love to see where she goes with her contemporary!
2. 99 Days by Katie Cotugno: I heard that 99 Days would involve a love triangle revolving around two brothers and a girl and I just neeeeed. The cover is gorgeous too. Hopefully the romance won’t disgust me!
3. Miss Mayhem by Rachel Hawkins: I loved, loved, absolutely loved Rebel Belle and I can’t wait to see where Miss Mayhem brings us! Hopefully more romance and laughs I hope!
4. Crimson Bound by Rosamund Hodge: So I didn’t enjoy Rosamund Hodge’s debut, Cruel Beauty, but every author deserves a second chance right? Hopefully Rosamund Hodge’s second book manages to not confuse me and also amaze me.
5. Revenge, Ice Cream, and Other Things Best Served Cold by Katie Finn: So I’ll read ANYTHING by Katie Finn -cough- aka Morgan Matson -cough cough-. I’m really sad that they changed this gorgeous cover to something else so plain though. I was really looking forward to buying this cover in hardback.
6. Invincible by Amy Reed: A book with a gorgeous cover equals an automatic read for Kelly. I’ve been hearing iffy things about this one though, but hopefully I’ll enjoy it nevertheless.
7. The Novice by Taran Matharu: I have high hopes for this one, especially since the cover is stunning. I’ll admit that I have no clue what The Novice is about, but hopefully it doesn’t disappoint!
8. The Wrong Side of Right by Jenn Marie Thorne: As soon as I saw The Wrong Side of Right being compared to Huntley Fitzpatrick’s books, there were hearts in my eyes and need in my hands. Hopefully this one lives up to its promise! (I know, I know, I’ve been saying “hopefully” too much in this post, but I can’t think of any other words to use!)
9. The Secrets We Keep by Trisha Leaver: TWINS. I need all the books about TWINS. Add the fact that the twins in this one switch places and just, can you feel my burning need for this book? I can’t wait to start this one!
10. Daughter of Deep Silence by Carrie Ryan: I’ve heard this book being compared to Revenge the television show, aka the show I’ve always wanted to watch but can’t because of school. I’ve also heard nothing but great things about Carrie Ryan’s books from my friends, so my expectations for this one is sky high.
And now, I want to know, what books are on your spring TBR list?
Great list. I see a few I want to read, but that didn’t make my list. I am looking forward to Crimson Bound and The Wrong side of Right.

Great list. I really want to read Rebel Belle and Miss Mayhem. From what I have heard, it sounds like the character is very independent and snarky – things I love.

I agree with you about Cruel Beauty! I’m going to give Crimson Bound the benefit of the doubt too and check it out. There were aspects of Cruel Beauty I enjoyed, so hoping that becomes stronger in this new story.

Crimson Bound was AMAZING – ten times better than Cruel Beauty :D I really enjoyed Invincible as well, except that cliffhanger left me wanting book two ASAP!

I also wasn’t impressed by Cruel Beauty although I wanted to like it so much. Now I’m not sure whether I’ll give Crimson Bound a chance. The blurb sounds quite interesting but I guess I’ll wait a little longer.
I’m also looking forward to Miss Mayhem. Rebel Belle was completely different from what I expected but I came to like it. It was a really entertaining read.

I am so excited for The Secrets We Keep. THAT COVER. And I can’t believe (and am ashamed to admit) that I didn’t know Katie Finn was Morgan Matson. I love both Since You’ve Been Gone and Amy & Roger’s Epic Detour, how have I missed this? (Also, thank you for enlightening me!) Have fun with your reading, lots of cool books on your list. :)

EEEP! SPRING BOOKS BE AMAZING! I’m really excited for 99 DAYS, too, since I really enjoyed Cotugno’s debut, HOW TO LOVE. And THE WRONG SIDE OF RIGHT was compared to Huntley Fitzpatrick’s books?! MUST READ. I hope you enjoy all of these, Kelly!!
I cannot wait to read The wrong side of right!! *-*

Awesome list! I can’t wait for 99 Days either. It sounds like a pretty unique concept and I adore the cover as well. :) The Secrets We Keep sounds like a very good book! I hope you enjoy these when you get to them. :)

Can’t wait for Miss Mayhem and 99 Days too! The Wrong Side of Right has a beautiful cover!
A contemporary from Aguirre?…better look this up..since i did enjoyed her Enclave but haven’t finished that series yet. Then I already have my Rebel Bell by Hawkins in my tbr as well better catch up fast and add on Miss Mayhem. Then Crimson Bound, which I think will be a lot better than Cruel Beauty…i hope.
Also i’m getting my ebook copy of the The Wrong Side of Right since i’m trying to read more of the YA contemporary aside from fantasy and paranormal.
Great list Kelly :)
Your list is a REALLY good list! The Novice has been on my mind a lot lately… Great picks.

Amazing list Kelly :D I loooooved The Queen of Bright and Shiny Things. <3 You will too, I'm sure! But oh. The Novice :( I wanted to love it. But it was a two star for me. SO BAD. Ugh. Curious to see what you think of it ;p Happy reading sweetie. <3

I loved Rebel Belle, too. It was so sharp and so funny, and Miss Mayhem was an easy pick for my list, too. Crimson Bound is another book I’m really looking forward to. I’m glad you’re giving this a shot, even without loving Cruel Beauty. I guess by the second book you’ll know for sure whether this series is for you.
