Patience My Darling is a feature where I highlight books that I’m extremely interested in reading that will be releasing sometime this month. I’ll also be highlighting some books I’ve already read since most people might not have read them yet.
April has so many book releases I’m looking forward to reading. There’s no doubt I’ll be going broke this month.
April 7th

Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli
I’ve heard nothing but great things about Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda and the fact that Simon loves Oreos just makes me go all <3<3<3. I really have to start this one soon!
The Queen of Bright and Shiny Things by Ann Aguirre
I’m currently reading The Queen of Bright and Shiny Things and it’s surprisingly good so far! Ann Aguirre is one of my go to authors, so I was disappointed to find out that I didn’t enjoy Ann Aguirre’s latest books, so I’m really glad to find myself enjoying The Queen of Bright and Shiny Things.
Empire of Night by Kelley Armstrong
It’s Kelley Armstrong. Enough said. But honestly, I need to start this series soon! This month I hope!
April 14th

Beautiful Secret by Christina Lauren
Although I DNF’d Christina Lauren’s young adult book, Sublime, I enjoy their adult series and can’t wait to get my hands on Beautiful Secret!
The Wondrous and the Wicked by Page Morgan
Even though I’ve never read the second book in the series, I’m dying to know how it all ends! What will become of Luce? Will he ever find happiness?
Dream A Little Dream by Kerstin Gier
I’ve already read and reviewed Dream A Little Dream – review for it will go up at its release week – and it’s so FUN! Dream A Little Dream made me want to skip around and join Liv on all her adventures. That girl is hilarious.
April 21st

Things We Know by Heart by Jessi Kirby
Things We Know by Heart was one of my most anticipated books of 2015 – I mean, how can it not be with a synopsis like that? However, once I managed to get my hands on an ARC and read it, it was utterly disappointing. More information would be in my review, going up in April.
99 Days by Katie Cotugno
As soon as I saw the cover of 99 Days, I knew I needed this book in my life. Add a love triangle with two brothers and oh my.
Conspiracy of Blood and Smoke by Anne Blankman
World War II. Hitler. Those two words (okay, I know it’s not two words, but you get what I mean) alone will make me go all grabby hands for a book. I sadly till haven’t read the first book in the series, but I will sometime soon because it’s just too epic not to read.
April 28th

An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir
THIS BOOK. I’ve already read and reviewed this one (review will go up at the end of April) and just, PREORDER THIS ONE ASAP GUYS, especially since it’s only $2.99 for a digital copy. You can thank me later.
The Girl at Midnight by Melissa Grey
I’ve heard mixed things about this one and I just have a feeling that I wouldn’t enjoy this one because of one of the problems most people pointed out. However, I’ll still be giving The Girl at Midnight a try and hopefully I’ll enjoy it.
Rook by Sharon Cameron
I love books that focus on secrets and conspiracies. Thank goodness this book will be in my hands soon.
The Secrets We Keep by Trisha Leaver
TWINS. Whenever I see a book with the words “twins” in it, it’s an automatic must read for me. I wish I was born a twin myself, but since I wasn’t, I’ll just have to live through books about twins.
Rogue by Julie Kagawa
I’ve heard meh things about the first book, but since this is Julie Kagawa and dragons, I must give this book a try. Hopefully this one wouldn’t be disappointing!
Valiant by Sarah McGuire
A fairytale retelling with giants? Um, yes! Thank goodness I have a copy of this lovely book in my hands right this very moment.
In A World Just Right by Jen Brooks
Okay, I’ll be honestly, I just want this book because of it’s cover, but hopefully the inside would be as good as the outside right? And that spine!
Pip Bartlett’s Guide to Magical Creatures by Maggie Stiefvater & Jackson Pearce
Nothing can ever go wrong with Maggie Stiefvater and a middle grade book.
