Yes, you read the title of this post correctly. Effortlessly Reading is the blog most likely to challenge you to a Pokemon battle over book boyfriends and I’m not ashamed to admit it.
Let me start from the very beginning. Why am I suddenly bringing up what Effortlessly Reading is the blog most likely to do? Well, the lovely people at Penguin is hosting a fun event where blogs write a post using the “The Blog Most Likely To…” superlative to celebrate Huntley Fitzpatrick’s amazing books: My Life Next Door, What I Thought Was True, and The Boy Most Likely To. After two minutes of brainstorming, I knew what I was extremely passionate about and wanted to feature in this post: books and Pokemon.
I mean, what could be more awesome than books and Pokemon? – Huntley Fitzpatrick’s books and Charmander in this case.
Another thing I’m also passionate about are my book boyfriends. I’m very picky about my book boyfriends; I’ve read more than 500 books these past three years and manage to have less than ten book boyfriends: Frank Porter from Since You’ve Been Gone (who I dedicated a whole post to), Archer Cross from the Hex Hall series (he could always make me laugh), Derek Souza from The Darkest Powers series (I love how vulnerable he is!), and of course, Jase from My Life Next Door (his support and understanding always makes me go <3<3<3). Here's a secret: I challenge people to Pokemon battles over book boyfriends.

Yeah, don’t side-eye me. Like I said, I’m really passionate about my book boyfriends.
Here’s another secret: I also challenge people to a Pokemon battle for food. Especially when it’s cheesecake.

I haven’t challenged anyone to a Pokemon battle over Jase yet, but who knows, that may happen one day if I have to fight for him. -winks-
So anyone who wants any of my book boyfriends or any of my favorite foods, be prepared to be challenged to a Pokemon battle! My Pokemon will fight you to the very end!
