Stacking the Shelves [12]

Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews, is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

Winter break is finally here! A month of freedom and books! (:

Bought:
Of Poseidon (Of Poseidon #1) by Anna Banks
Beautiful Disaster (Beautiful #1) by Jaime McGurie
Grave Mercy (His Fair Assassin #1) by R.L. LaFevers
Meant to Be by Lauren Morrill

My reasons for buying this batch of books is shallow at best LOL.

For Of Poseidon, I saw the beautiful just-released cover of Of Triton and just knew I had to have Of Triton in my hands. I never collect one book from a book series; I have to collect the entire series, which is why I brought Of Poseidon.

As for Beautiful Disaster, it was $5 in Strandbooks ($15 is the original price) and I think it’s time I do a proper proper proper review on how much of a disaster Beautiful Disaster was. Which includes a re-read of the book.

As for Grave Mercy, it had such good reviews on goodreads that I’m content to give it another try. And the cover of Meant to Be was too cute not to buy, even though I didn’t really enjoy reading the book. You can find the review for it here.

Won:
Fated (Soul Seekers #1) by Alyson Noel
Echo (Soul Seekers #2) by Alyson Noel

I won an awesome giveaway from Ashleigh @ The YA Kitten about a week and a half ago and finally received the two books this week. I’ve been meaning to read Fated and Echo since a long, long, long time ago ever since I heard Alyson Noel was writing a new series. I will definitely be reading them in January, so look forward to seeing a review then.

But enough about me. What books did you haul?

I read three of the four books you bought. I must admit that I didn’t really love Of Poseidon, but I know a lot of people who did, and I hope you like it. Meant to Be is totes adorable, and Beautiful Disaster is intense.

    Happy reading :)

You have to read Of Poseidon. You have to. And yes, Of Triton’s cover looks so good. Can’t wait to get my hands on it. New follower here! Haven’t read Beautiful Disaster because I’ve been reading such bad reviews.
