HA. My life is FULL of embarrassing things/moments. I’m not sure if you guys also watched that danisnotonfire episode where he talks about embarrassing moments and how he just goes UGH in the middle of a conversation because he’s just thinking about it. That’s how I act when I think of all the embarrassing things I did in my life, but Dan just explains it A LOT better than I could.
Like once, I was walking and reading and slammed right into a pole while walking. I’m sadly not even kidding. To make matters even worse, I was at my college campus and people saw that happening. The only consolation is that I witnessed someone that did something even more embarrassing than that – I saw someone walk into a huge glass window (it was a Chase bank window and those are huge), not realizing that they were doing that.
Another embarrassing moment I faced was when I walked into the boy’s bathroom back when I was a freshmen in high school. Let me explain: It was summer and I was at a non-profit organization, handing in some forms I filled out earlier at home. Before I went there, I drank a lot of water at home and when I finally arrived, I desperately need to go to the bathroom. Like, to the point of I don’t care if I walk into the boy’s bathroom because it was closer; I just needed to go! (Yes, at that moment, I didn’t think of what if I bumped into a guy in the boy’s bathroom?! I just didn’t have enough room in my brain to care.) So without looking at the bathroom picture, you know the image that tells you whether it’s the girls’ or boys’ bathroom, I just rushed in the bathroom because it’s the nearest bathroom. Luckily, it was empty. Before I could go do my business, my dad rushed in and told me it’s the guy’s bathroom and to get out of there now. Honestly, I didn’t even care that it was the boy’s bathroom – I just need to use it. I was forced to follow my dad out of the bathroom and ignoring all those glances from other people watching this unfold, I rushed into the girls bathroom and promptly went. Hey, when you got to go, you got to go.
And how about when you think someone is waving at you, but they weren’t, but it’s already too late, you already waved back because it was just impolite to ignore them? UGHHH, I just want to smack my head against the wall when I think about it.
How about you guys? Did you guys ever did the same things that I did? Share your embarrassing moments – I want to hear them! We can be embarrassing together!
LOL! Seriously I love your posts! You’re too funny. Sadly enough I have a ton of these types of stories too. The main one that comes to mind right now is the time I was in the elevator at work and this guy told me he liked my perfume. I was young and thought “Wow, this old guy is making a friggin’ pass at me!” After I got off the elevator instead of going to my office I immediately ran up 2 more flights of stairs to get to my sister’s office so I could tell her the story. She was floored and thought “How dare a dirty old man make a pass at my baby sister!” Other people in the offices were coming out to where my sister’s desk was and OMG… one of them was the man in question! He friggin’ worked with her! When Mike (that was his name) came out he looked at me and said “Oh Hi again!” and my sister said, “oh Mike did you hear? A dirty old man made a pass at my baby sister in the elevator! Told her he like her perfume!”
Meanwhile, I’m frantically doing the old hand across the throat sign to tell her to shut the heck up and she didn’t get it. Finally she looked at me and said “WHAT?!?” I hung my head in shame and said, “THAT’S HIM!”
So, I was mortified. My sister was mortified for calling Mike a dirty old man. Mike was mortified because he was not making a pass at me at all he was just being nice and friendly. Which, after that time I got to know Mike very well and I truly believe he wasn’t making a pass. It wasn’t in him to be that way. The rest of the office was down on their hands and knees laughing their butts off! :/
Great topic!! This ought to be fun!

Aww, why thank you Carrie! <3 -blushes-
Ha ha, that's extremely awkward! Maybe five years later, you'll be laughing at this too. ;D

Haha if I had to pee that badly then I wouldn’t care if it was the boy’s bathroom either! Lol those Chase glass windows are huge! Poor guy. Hmm I think one of the most embarrassing thing that happened to me was when I was in Best Buy and they used to have a music section…so they had these piano keyboards in one room and I went there to play one of my piano pieces and this really cute dude sat next to me! I was so embarrassed b/c I hate attention and I get really shy when people pay attention to me while I’m playing the piano. I totally blanked out on the notes and both of us just sat there for like a good minute and then he said “keep playing” and then I walked away after he said that. SO EMBARRASSING ERMAHGERD. So walked around Best Buy and when I walked back to the piano section, I saw my dad talking to the dude who sat next to me with 2 of his friends, and it turns out they have a band… so yeah…super embarrassing!
Yay, high five! I’m glad I’m not alone in making that decision. ;D
OMG, your embarrassing moment at Best Buy reminded me of mine. So I was at Best Buy with my family for some reason I forgot and I saw this huge stereo. So I was playing around with it and picked a Rihanna song to test it out, but the volume of the stereo turned out to be the max MAX. Like, people all the way across the store could hear you loud and that Best Buy was HUGE. I was frantically trying to stop the music or lower the volume now, but couldn’t find the needed control, so I gave up. And then I turned around to innocently walk away from it all when I saw a co-worker I kind of work with staring at me with his family. Yeah. AWKWARD x1000.
But yay to our embarrassing moments at Best Buy!

One time I was walking in mall, and I was looking over the railing at the level below. I looked up right when I smacked into this gigantic cement pillar. My glasses of course broker, so here I am somehow carrying all the pieces trying to catch up with my mom who did not even notice. I was crying (the type where it’s like I’m crying but I really am not but in truth I am) , and when my mom finally noticed that I wasn’t there she turned around and ran back yelling OH MY GOSH DID SOMEONE GRAB YOU. Que everybody turning to stare at me. She was completely oblivious of my glasses in my hands until she got to me. Plus, the next night was Father daughter dance, and I was all excited to wear my new glasses.
Then there are the times where you think you hear your name, or someone is talking to you so you get this huge smile on your face and get all excited to just realize that they were either talk to someone else or there was actually no one saying your name.

Aww, that sucks. D:
The only glasses incident I had was when I was on Space Mountain, a roller coaster, at Disney and I HATED roller coasters. I was forced to go on by my parents and I was super scared. As I was on the ride, I felt my glasses slipping off and I was thinking LET THEM FALL OFF MY FACE. LET ME PARENTS PAY ANOTHER $150+ FOR THEM. THAT’LL TEACH THEM TO NOT PUT ME ON ANOTHER ROLLER COASTER AGAIN. In the end, my glasses almost fell off my face, but didn’t. And I didn’t think my whole plan through – if they did fall off my face, I’ll be blind for at least two weeks. :P

Ugh, I can’t even begin to tell you about all the embarrassing moments that I’ve had because there are so many! I think with me, they just tend to stick a lot better because I over-analyze everything and freak out about everything. Sometimes, I’ll be walking down the street and thinking to myself and I’ll think back to an embarrassing moment and it’s like I’m reliving it and it’s the worst thing on Earth. I kind of lose all my inhibitions because I’m so humiliated that I need time to stop and just breathe. I don’t know if this is abnormal? But I don’t know, I guess I just tend to be more insecure about those types of things than others maybe.

That’s totally not abnormal! Sometimes, when I’m walking down the street, I think about some embarrassing things I did and cringe inside, not really noticing that I also make a cringe face on the outside until it’s too late. D:
You’re definitely not the only insecure one Annie!

Haha, I’ve been in similar situations. Although I’ve never walked into the boy’s bathrooms. But I’ve walked into a pole on the street once. I wasn’t even reading or doing anything else. Just walking and looking down. Yeah . . .

I have bad eyesight but I refuse to wear my glasses unless I’m driving and only then if it’s at night or the weather is bad. So when walking down campus with my sister-in-law. I saw a girl and guy walking towards us. I waved hi to them, thinking they were someone I knew. Turns out they were complete strangers. I just smiled, put my hand down, looked straight ahead and as soon as we passed each other, laughed my butt off with my sister-in-law.
My life is full of embarrassing moments too. I can be pretty awkward. I’ve done the whole mistaken wave. I’ve walked into a boy’s bathroom by accident. Making myself look stupid is a pretty regular occurrence :)

Haaaa! Oh, Kelly, you are not alone! I run into things all the time. I seriously lost count of the number of times I have hit my head on my own fricking car door as I was getting into or out of my car. I run into walls, door frames, etc. on a regular (almost daily) basis. I have called people by the wrong names (OMFG KILL ME). At least we all tend to do things like this occasionally, lol!
