Happy New Year guys! I am personally very excited for the new year (can you believe it’s 2015 already?! It still feels like 2014 just started) because NO SCHOOL FOR A MONTH. YESSSSSSSSS. And yes, that had to be in all caps.
Now, moving on. I have a couple of New Year resolutions I want to accomplish for 2015.
- I will schedule posts up to one month in advance. I learned that I have to do this the hard way the past two months: I barely had time to post anything because of the crazy amount of exams and finals I have. I’m taking winter break as an opportunity to catch up and be well prepared.
- Start doing Top Ten Tuesdays and discussion posts again. I really miss doing those.
- More Cover Guessing Games! The problem with Cover Guessing Games is that it’s really time-consuming to make with finding a perfect cover for it and making it challenging. However, I will try to do those more often.
- And as the same as last year’s resolutions, I will try to visit more blogs, new blogs, and start commenting more often. Hopefully.
So on to the Cover Guessing Game!
For those of you who don’t know what the Cover Guessing Game is, I’ll explain it all here: you see all the pictures below? One of those pictures is equal to one book cover. That means those twelve pictures correspond to twelve different books. In the Cover Guessing Game, you’ll have to guess what picture is a piece of what book cover. Up for the challenge? I hope you are!
This Cover Guessing Game will last all month so you can take your time to have fun and guess the answers for extra points for the Rafflecopter. Also, entries towards the Cover Guessing Game is not required, but you can earn extra points when you do them. You’ll have to get the book correct though or your entries will be disqualified.
This year, you can win a pre-order of your most anticipated 2015 release AND a preorder of An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir because let’s face it, you’ll thank me for introducing it in your life. You’re welcome by the way. ;D
Let the guessing game begin!
The Rules + Hints:
- The books used in this Book Cover Guessing Game are my top twelve most anticipated books I’ve released in 2015.
- At first, I wanted to give the prize to the first person who guessed all the above book covers correctly, but I figured that it would be unfair to people in different time zones. Therefore, I will allow Rafflecopter to pick the winner. However, the winner the Rafflecopter picks must have all the correct answers to win or all their entries will be eliminated and I will choose a new winner. Sorry about that, but hey, all the Cover Guessing Game entries are not required. Do the Cover Guessing Game at your own risk.
- Rafflecopter (sometimes) does not let you change your answer once you input your answer in. If you do want to change your answer for any book cover after submitting your old answer to the Rafflecopter, simply email me at whatisakelly(at)gmail(dot)com with the subject “January Cover Guessing Game Answer” with your new book cover answer and the name you used to enter the contest.
- If the Rafflecopter does not accept your answers, just email me your answers at whatisakelly(at)gmail(dot)com with the subject “New Year Cover Guessing Game.”
Good luck everyone & let the guessing game begin! ;D
Terms & Conditions:
- This contest is open INTERNATIONALLY.
- The giveaway will run until February 11, 2015.
- You must be 18 years or older, or have parents’ permission to enter.
- All your entries will be disqualified if you pickup entries for something you haven’t done. (I had to do this for so many of my last giveaways, please don’t make me do this again.)
- If you only use ONE account to do all these tasks and enter under different names, they will still only constitute as ONE entry.
- If the winner does not respond to my e-mail within 48 hours, I will have to choose another winner.
- I am not responsible for any items lost in the mail.
I’d love to volunteer more!! It’s my resolution!!
And it was hard!!!
thank you so very much :)
This game is so hard! I only found 6 haha, but I’m going to keep looking!
I am resolutely against making resolution, although I do hope to read more this year.
The game is hard, but fun. I did initially recognize a few of the covers, even though I was convinced I knew very little about upcoming books. Thanks for the game! Happy New Year!
WOW. That guessing game took a lot of time, haha! There were about three that took 10 minutes or more to figure out XD But it was fun! My resolution is to manage my money better, and to improve my blog content :) Happy new year, Kelly!

I think this one was easier, but only because I’ve been reading a lot of lists with 2015 books! ;) Still a lot of fun, thank you for doing it!

Great new year resolutions and I absolutely love these cover challenges, so much fun!
Happy New Year Kelly! Scheduling posts is hard, but I hope you get through them all because I always say that I will, but then everything catches up to me and I don’t. Plus I don’t have as many ideas. But anyways, yay cover guessing game! I love games like these!
Thanks for hosting a giveaway! An Ember in the Ashes seems like such a great book!

Ha ha, yes, scheduling posts is so hard! But in the end, it’s worth it.
An Ember in the Ashes is definitely a great book! (:

yay! i have tried your cover guessing game last year…some were kinda challenging really! i think this is a great and fun way to start the New Year! have a great one Kelly :)
My resolution this year is to make an effort to bring joy to people I love. I mean this in general, but also, I’m making it a point to send a random box of love to a friend once a month. I love making care packages, and I love getting random love in my mailbox.
As far as the cover guessing game, it wasn’t as hard as the last one, but it still wasn’t what I would call easy!
I have actually decided not to make any new years resolutions. I’ve done them every year since I can possibly remember and yet I never seem to follow through with them. It’s not that I am coming up with unrealistic resolutions, I guess I am just set in my ways. Instead of feeling bad about it I have decided to make no plans or resolutions and just be. Not sure if that makes much sense but honestly I am just too tired to try to word it better. As for this cover guessing game I actually found it to be hard. Normally I pay more attention to new releases but I’ve only been focused on sequels or authors that I am obsessed with. Although it took a while I managed to figure them all out. Also just want to add happy new year to Kelly and anyone else who may happen to read this comment
I am going to read more this year. That’s my only resolution this year:)
Oh and this guessing game was medium
I’m going to try to write more book reviews this year. Forty plus hopefully. And I still have 2 covers to go, but so far it’s been pretty simple.
Thanks for the giveaway!

I don’t really make resolutions. Just live and enjoy each day as it comes (I’ve found it is less stressful that way)! And this was maybe…medium? I’ve attempted a few others but never was able to finish so not sure if it was because this one was easier or because this time I didn’t stop till I finished but hey…I definitely have a sense of accomplishment now. ;o)
Happy New Year! One of my resolutions for 2015 is to read more epic fantasy.
The challenge is really hard. I have 5 covers to recognise yet.

My new year’s resolution is to learn water color painting. I already started and it’s so fun but also hard getting the tones just right.
This cover guessing game is hard! There’s still one I can’t figure out and it’s driving me nuts! haha
The usual…get fit, exercise, etc. I also want to bring up my Netgalley percentage by another 20 points.
The cover game is hard, but I’m working on it!
Finding the time to discover and support new blogs is no easy task. I find setting “commenting time” aside makes it easier.
Also, these covers are super hard to identify! Good job!

My resolution is to stop slacking and review everything I read :)
I absolutely love your cover games! This one was a bit easier than the rest, I probably got used to them and that’s why~
I plan on reading more and being more active on Twitter, and being a better blogger this year! Thank so much for the giveaway!

OMG KELLY! THIS WAS SO HARD! I literally spent an hour searching for all the covers (I am very competitive with myself. Had to figure them all out!). Number eight was the most trouble – I didn’t think to look at someone’s dress!
I hope you’ll have a lot of luck with these resolutions Kelly! Visiting more blogs is one of mine, as is scheduling posts. It’s something I’ve been doing this year, but I’m really behind at the moment :P

This game is not easy at all, but I’m definitely having fun! Thanks for the giveaway!
Happy New Year and thanks for the great giveaway! My New Year Resolutions are:
1. To read more – find time during the school year somehow.
2. Become less dependent on my phone – cough Trivia Crack cough
3. Become the best version of myself that I can be.
4. Have a wonderful year.
5. Survive exams.
6. Get a job over the summer.
7. Improve tennis and clarinet.
Anyway, I participated in your Sarah J. Maas cover giveaway last year, and I think this one was much easier (maybe because I browsed through the covers last time). One of the covers gave me a hard time, but I just found it!
Once again, thanks so much for the giveaway, and have a great year! :)
I do not have and never have done any type of New Years Resolutions myself. I think if I am gonna do I would have already. lol
The cover guessing game is hard! Thanks for the giveaway/game
Happy New Year ! My resolution is to read all my TBR pile before buy new books and i don’t think i can do that TT the game is so hard ! i don’t think im gonna to try lolll
My resolution was to finish my book! :) This is so hard! I still can’t figure out two of them! Thanks for the giveaway!

I’m completely stumped on about five of these covers, so I’d say the difficulty level is about medium. Regardless, it’s been fun playing!

I want to get back into BookTubing. I’ve been working and going to school a lot and would love to get back to making new videos for my channel, “The Young, The Broke, & The Bookish.” Also, I really want to do VEDA for at least ONE month on my channel.
Resolution: Be less lazy, explore more recipes and spend more time on art!
The game was a bit harder this time because I haven’t been keeping up to date with the new covers as much these days. And I’m bitterly ashamed that it took me SO LONG to guess #8 even though I knew it was a ___ style and told myself to look out for covers with that element on it. Yet I still missed it!
Happy New Year to you and enjoy your holidays! :)
Happy New Year! My resolution is to read more YA contemporary which is my favourite genre. I am really having fun with the cover match. I LOVE book covers and it’s fun to see which part of the picture you’ve taken the sample from. Medium, some were pretty easy but I am really struggling with cover 9!
Thank you for making this an international giveaway – I’m from very sunny South Africa :)

Well, now I’ve got some of those on my 2015 list, too. Thanks! Most of them I hadn’t seen or heard of yet. :)
This game was medium- not as hard as the huge one you did in 2014, but not easy, either.

my new year resolutions are the same as ever.read more than 200 books, try losing weight and finally not fail my classes…:)
as far as the Cover Guessing Game is concerned i have to say that it was quite hard!nevertheless i really enjoyed it>~<
Most of my resolutions are book related. Like reading more, put down books I’m not enjoying. This was fairly simple until #12! For the life of me I could not find that cover!
I like the cover contests but it takes me a long time to solve them. I don’t know the covers yet! I don’t have a resolution really, just planning to drink more water this year.

Hi there… I accidentally made a booboo on the rafflecopter. In the place where I was supposed to put the review I commented on, I accidentally put my tweet link. You can’t edit on these new forms, as far as I know. So I wanted to let you know about it, and also tell you that I commented on your review of Scarlet today, the day I made the boo boo! Hope that’s alright… :(

Happy New Year to you too! Some of my new year’s resolutions are to read more (and to do better in school). This game is really difficult, but I’m having a blast. Thank you so much for this giveaway!
I’ve got half of them!!!! I love this game though, will not give up. :D Thank you for the giveaway!
Took me way longer than it should have on number 8. Still fun to play the game though :)

As usual, the cover guessing game was pretty simple for me except for one – apparently I’m blind and passed over #8 at least ten times. Oy!
I’ve heard so many awesome things about An Ember In the Ashes, and I can’t wait to get my hands on a copy! One of my other most anticipate release of 2015 is probably The Wrath and The Dawn. Thanks for hosting this giveaway!

My new years resolution is reading more… so far it’s not going so well.
My new year resolution is only buy new books after I’ve at least made some headway with my TBR list. I still need to find out cover #11. I’m positive I’ve seen it somewhere….
This is great because this are books that I cannot get my hands into until a long time after its publication just because I live in Argentina. It sucks. Thanks for this opportunity!
