Till It Arrives is inspired by Jamie from The Perpetual Page-Turner’s Save the Date feature. Sometimes I read books that are not released anytime soon, but I want to share some of my feelings on the book right away, so Till It Arrives is born! (It also allows me to read books that appear later in my schedule, so that’s awesome too.) Since I don’t usually use GIFs in my reviews, I thought I’ll use plenty of GIFs to describe my feelings for the book I’m talking about in this feature!
Dream A Little Dream
Author: Kerstin Gier
Series: Silver #1
Genre: Young Adult, Romance, Fantasy, Mystery
Release Date: April 14, 2015
Publisher: Henry Holt and Co.
Summary:
A girl with a hatchet. Doors with lizard-head knobs. Talking stone statues. Yes, Liv’s dreams have been pretty weird lately. Especially the one where she’s in a graveyard at night, watching four boys conduct dark magic rituals.
The strangest part is that Liv recognizes the boys in her dream. They’re classmates from her new school in London. But what’s really scaring Liv is that these dream boys seem to know things about her in real life, things they couldn’t possibly know – unless they actually are in her dreams? Luckily, Liv could never resist a mystery, and all four of those boys are pretty cute…
First Sentence: The dog was snuffling at my bag.
I received a copy of the book from the publisher in exchange for a honest review. All opinions are my own and I was not compensated for this review.

To sum the book up in a GIF:
Oh it’s awesome you loved it so much! I love the cover and I love the story and it seems like it’s got lots of unique magic in it!!
Lovely reveiw :)
The cover sadly doesn’t do much for me, but yes, there is unique “magic” in it. (I’m not exactly sure if it can be called “magic” exactly.)
Thank you! (:

I need to read Gier’s Precious Stone trilogy – I have the entire series, but sadly just don’t have the time to read it at the moment. ):
I hope you’ll also enjoy this one Rachel! :D

Yay, I’m glad my GIF reviews make you super hyper for the books I’m GIFing about. ;D
Yeah, April is sadly so far away. Dream A Little Dream was suppsoed to be released in January, but I can definitely see why they pushed the release date back.

Just to be really mean…. I’VE READ THE SECOND ONE ALREADY! HAH! Ok, and now… sorry. But they are both pretty great :D

I haven’t heard of this feature but I really like it! It reminds me a little of Waiting on Wednesday, which is great [i like this one better because it doesn’t seem date restricted haha]

LOL Nova! Yes, there are four cute guys. I won’t say anything more. :P

I just finished reading this yesterday and I agree so much! It was an absolutely delightful read! (a word I don’t usually use to describe a book, but it just fits)
Yes! “Delightful” is such a great word to describe this one! The only word that came to my mind when I finished it was FUN FUN FUN and FUNNNNNNNNNN. ;D

CUTE, CUTE, CUTE and FUN, FUN, FUN sounds PERFECT, PERFECT, PERFECT! And, I happen to love the author, too! Definitely can’t wait “Til this one arrives!”

Only three-ish more months to go!

OMG, so glad to see this positive GIFly review! I hate the cover for this book, but I LOVE Kristen Gier so I was planning on buying it anyhow, and seeing that it’s adorable is such a relief! lol

hmmm…don’t think i’ve read anything yet by this author….i wasn’t so sure about this one with that cover…i thought it’s gonna be fluffy but i am glad this is going to be a fun read :) magic that involves four cute mysterious boys! lemme into the dreamland asap!
Dream A Little Dream is mostly a fluffy book, which kind of matches its cover. I’m not a fan of the cover myself sadly. ):
Ha ha, when I first read the synopsis for this one, I was all like four cute boys! How will I choose? Why do you torture me so? :P

I absolutely adore books with lots of humor, especially from the main character. And you’re right, that cover isn’t really impressive. It actually reminds me of old book cover designs that don’t look so great now. But I actually feel like reading this one now. It sounds pretty interesting. ;)

This book will definitely make you giggle Hillary!
The cover just makes me sad. It looks like a Middle Grade book that is so cheesy – just look at those butterflies. If it wasn’t for Dream A Little Dream’s summary, I wouldn’t have read this one at all.

I agree the cover is a little… iffy. It kind of looks like its trying to hard. I don’t know. But I’m glad to know that you enjoyed this book! I will definitely be checking it out when it is released! Thanks for the fun review!
The cover just screams THIS IS A BOOK FOR LITTLE GIRLS! to me, or something along those lines. But I promise you, the inside is a lot better than its cover!

The Cover reminds me of Alice in Wonderland While the whole plot makes me think that it is an original plot.
Hmmm…now that you’ve mentioned it, it does look like Alice in Wonderland! The book, in a way, is kind of like Alice in Wonderland too – instead of Wonderland, we get the dream world. ;D

I’m so excited to read this! Although I must say, I’m not too crazy about the cover. I LOVED the Ruby Red trilogy, and I hear Dream a Little Dream is just as humorous and fun, so I’m sure I won’t be disappointed. :)
I’m not crazy about the cover either. ):
I’m glad to hear that you LOVED the Precious Stones trilogy – I’m planning on reading it sometime in the future!

I enjoyed the Ruby Red trilogy so I can see myself liking this one! :)
I still have to read Kerstin’s Precious Stones trilogy, but yes, if you enjoyed reading her other trilogy, you’ll probably enjoy reading this one too! (:

I’m glad you ended up liking it! It took me a while to get into, mainly because of the awkward translation + it read a bit like a middle-grade book to me. I might have to give it another try.
Sajda recently posted…Exciting January 2015 Releases
Yeah, Dream A Little Dream had a middle grade feel for me too – I talk more about it in my full written review – and the cover looks like a middle grade book too.
As for the awkward translation, I think the release date for this one was pushed back because of it.
Kelly recently posted…Top Ten 2014 Releases I Meant To Read But Didn’t Get To
I have to admit, I REALLY hate the cover. Like, when I first saw it, I kinda disregarded the whole book. *ashamed face* But I did like Gier’s other series, and it sounds like this book will have just enough similarities (snarky/witty MC, school in London, plenty of guys…) and enough differences that it really should be great!
Lina recently posted…Book Tag: ‘BURN, REWRITE, OR REREAD?’ Challenge
You’re not alone Lina! I wasn’t EVER planning on reading this one because pink? Butterflies? That atmosphere? No thanks. But then I saw the words “four cute boys” and I was sold. :P
I recommend you not judge the book by its cover for this one – it’s really fun and hilarious despite its cover!

This book puts me in mind of The Nightmare series by Mindee Arnett. ILoved the first book in that series after I got it from the library two years ago, but have yet to read the second book. I love a good mystery so this book seems like a must for 2015. I’m looking forward to the non-gif review especially becomes it comes out in my birthday.
I haven’t read The Nightmare series by Mindee Arnett yet, so I sadly can’t tell you if Dream A Little Dream is similar to it. ):
Ohh, that’s awesome! Happy very very very early birthday! :D<3

Everybody’s saying how this book blow their minds, but I’m not sure… The synopsis might seem somewhat interesting, but it doesn’t seem particularly “different”. I think I’ll wait for your full review and decide then. :)

Well, Dream A Little Dream didn’t blow my mind, but it was definitely a fun and quick read. As for it being “different,” I don’t feel like it’s different, except for the fact that it was written in German and then translated into English.
